Such a pretty venue for a wedding. I’m a wedding photographer and I’ve captured two beautiful weddings at this venue. The architecture is stunning and the view of the freeway calls for fun pictures, especially at night during reception!

We booked our wedding at the Kellogg House over a year prior to our wedding when Jacqueline was still the venue coordinator. When Jacqueline left there was a bit of confusion and lack of communication since the Kellogg House was still in the process of hiring a new venue coordinator. We were getting information from 3 different people, so I must admit that it was a bit frustrating not knowing who to contact during the transition. Fast forward to our wedding day they definitely pulled through. I have no complaints. Our wedding ran smoothly and according to the timeline. Our guests loved the food and the venue. If you’re worried about the freeway noise we didn’t notice it all on our wedding day. Also! When touring the venue make sure you stand in the exact spot you will be doing your ceremony at the exact time of your ceremony. This will help you avoid having the sun in your eyes. We had our wedding at 4:30pm on 10/13/22 on the bottom level of the backyard, and I wish I would have started the wedding about 30 minutes later to avoid the sun in our eyes. I also highly recommend checking the Kellogg West’s availability before booking the Kellogg House if you plan on having guests stay the night of the wedding. We booked the venue, but then the hotel was fully booked for a conference over a year in advance, so we had to get a room block at a hotel 20 minutes away. We’re looking forward to hosting more events here. (photos by The Hendrys)

Very beautiful surroundings and very historic area. But positive experience pretty much end there. The staff was not very friendly or acknowledging. The best way to best way to describe them was that their personality was that of automaton. I attending a friends wedding there and unfortunately it rained that day. The event coordinator did let my friend know they could handle the situation with a rainproof canopy. And they did, but the canopy was leaking water. They remedied this by placing 1 "Caution Wet" sign. Needless to say several guests (including many children) slipped and fell hard. My child was one of the children that slipped and fell that day. And not a single staff member came to aid us, console my child or offer any type of help. My child along with the other children that slipped that night were crying heavily. And the staff just carried on like it was normal and okay. Other problems were with the lack of directions. There's areas of the house you can't go to and things that were not permitted like sitting down on certain areas/chairs. There was no signs or a person simply letting the guests know of the do's and don'ts. Another issue was the main meal. The food was brought out very late. People didn't start getting feed until around 8:15pm and the venue was supposed to end at 9pm. I personally didn't get my food choice until around 8:30pm and I didn't get to eat it because by that time my child's bottom was bruising, swelling and starting to ache. So I had to leave to attend to my child. There was alot more issues as well. My friend was really upset about all the problems and I do not know what happened in the end. I do know my friend was trying to get a partial refund and was getting roadblocks with that.

One star would be perfect to sum up our experience. The venue was not worth all the money we paid. The staff were impossible to get a hold of for the majority of the wedding. All the tours, tastings, and rehearsals were not clearly planned and staff provided very little direction assuming we know where to meet them. The only helpful person is Tristen, Elisa, and Erika. Other than that, everyone else was snappy and rude.
During our wedding, a majority of our guests felt uncomfortable with our wedding coordinator Debbie. She was extremely rude to guests and approached them very aggressively. I wanted all my guests to enjoy themselves and have a great time but they all felt on edge.
Did I mention she aggressively grabbed my husband when the ceremony was over and told him "we got to go we are on a schedule" I felt she could have not grabbed him and just told him politely.
This was an extreme downside and now I can't get a hold of anyone and spent all this money for rude and poor service.

400 thumbs up to Jacqueline, Christina, and the Kellogg house staff for making our wedding day the best day ever! Guests could not stop raving about how beautiful the venue was, how delicious the food was, and how accommodating the staff was. My wife and I couldn't have been happier with how perfect everything was and all thanks goes to this amazing crew. If you're looking for a venue stop looking now and just book here, you WILL NOT regret it!
