The server greeted us effusive as we approached the door. There were several other couples there. Wines were excellent. 1 white, 2 roses, 2 reds were offered for tasting. No lists provided to write notes on. Friendly dog is the de facto ambassador.

Kelley and Young tasting room is worth the visit should you find yourself in Cloverdale and in need of some quality wine.

My first visit to Kelley and Young was this weekend while attending the Wine Road Wine & Food Affair. We enjoyed meeting the owners and winemaker. It was a beautiful Fall Cloverdale day and we enjoyed sampling a Sauvignon Blanc, Rose, Zinfandel and Malbec on the front patio. All were delicious. The food pairing was a zinfandel with tri-tip sandwiches with onion jam and blue cheese crumble.

The owner told us that the wines are all small production from locally purchased grapes in the Alexander Valley. This is the type of winery Gwen and I prefer to visit. We are so lucky to have a variety of small production wineries who produce quality over quantity.

Cloverdale is not exactly bursting with wineries so should you find yourself in Northern Sonoma County, Kelley and Young should be put on your To-Do list. The atmosphere is warm, friendly, and welcoming. There is a nice variety of white and reds. We left with a bottle 2017 Sauvignon Blanc and 2017 Nuits De Young Rose'. The winery had a nice selection of food and wine country gifts should you be buying for someone other than yourself.

Madeline made our celebration very special. We planned on the visit to celebrate a birthday to be the highlight for the day. We were not disappointed. Excellent wines (we are all seasoned wine drinkers) and personal service made the visit exceptional. Thank you for the good time!

Our server, Linda was very nice and informative regarding the wines. The following day we had an elaborate tasting where the wines were paired with small plates. Madeline was the chef and educator. She did an excellent job on both accounts. The food was interesting and paired beautifully with the wines. Madeline handled the group of 6 with varied backgrounds very well.

Great experience!
Linda was very kind and welcoming, we tasted some nice wines and ended up buying desert wine and Malbec.
Good quality wines and reasonable prices. next time we come back we definitely want to explore the town more and visit their garden Inn as well.

Relaxed tasting room with a spacious patio right on the main street in Cloverdale. The wines are all delicious from the Sauv Blanc to the Rose, Zins and Malbec. The wines stand out as each has their own unique character. Madeline, the tasting room manager was excellent and made us feel like part of the family. We'll definitely be back!
