So if you have been going to wolf lodge like I have this is a good step up. It's the same suff as wold lodge but for bigger kids and adults. And the food is overall way better. If you got smaller kids I'd definitely save some money and got to the lodge until the kids hit about 9 years old. It's double the slides. Foods better . Bigger lazy river and the wave pool had a giant screen with music. It was awesome. Because it's a bit. more to stay I feel they didn't over charge their souvenirs . So it balances out. Plus they have activities for just adults as well. 10 out of 10 family experience I would like to go to all locations in the future. And what you spend also goes to bring water to remote locations in Africa so you get to help in that was also. Great place love the theme and the environment

We’ve stayed overnight here twice.
Both times, the rooms are nice overall but beds and pillows could definitely be better.
Cleanliness of the hallways and common areas could be better.

Food isn’t great but I guess it’s decently priced. Fortunately there’s plenty of great food options nearby off property.
Drinks are way over priced, especially for overpaying for the overnight stay itself.

Most concerning thing of all is the lack of cleanliness of the pool area. First time we stayed, our 3yr old son came back with a MRSA infection to which the staff I talked to over the phone seemed to completely care less about.
And now, with this most recent stay in March, our 7yr old daughter came back with a staff infection on her toe…
It’s a great time but be warned, this place is a breeding ground like no other!

Everything was as expected for me and my family. Was intrigued that the indoor and outdoor water areas were not connected. Feels like a design miss. This didn't create any issues for our stay as the outdoor water was very cold and no one was really there. They had workers in place and ready.
Everything seemed well staffed. Everything was enjoyable.
The Tom Foolery area was better relieved by my two teenagers than I thought. Large portions of this area are geared for younger kids.

We have been to the Great Wolf Lodge 3 or 4 times. This is very comparable to those, but the indoor water area is much bigger and better. They could learn a little from each other on customer experience.

The rooms are beautiful, the resort is beautiful and quite fun. Almost like Vegas for kids.

The reason I won't be back - I'm not someone who wants their room cleaned while I'm visiting a hotel unless I'm staying more than 3 days. I just don't like someone I don't know alone with all my personal belongings, especially when I'm traveling alone, call me paranoid. This has never been an issue at any hotel I've stayed out until Kalahari. They "reserve the right to come into your room at anytime", which fine, all hotels do. But they USE it. I had my do not disturb sign up all 3 days, didn't matter once. I came back to my room one day to find all my windows wide open and the AC on full blast in the middle of winter, all my stuff moved from the bed. It all felt extremely intrusive.

I paid for my private space, you can check it and the end of the 3 days, you have my credit card on file if I ruined anything. This is just unnecessary and I wouldn't come back, especially not alone.

I stayed here while volunteering at an event at the attached Convention Center.||Facilities and Amenities:|Room was huge! I stayed in a suite with 3 others that had three beds and a pull-out couch. It didn't ever feel crowded. The multiple large mirrors were great when we were all getting ready and the beds were pretty comfortable. Since it was cold and I was semi-working, I didn't visit the outside amenities or the waterpark. I did use the fitness room to do a morning workout and was delighted to find a Stairmaster and a decent amount of other exercise equipment (Of course few machines and mainly free weights, but that's to be expected at hotels.). I tried the Mac & Cheese restaurant there and it was delicious if a bit pricy. The convention center was large, very nice and well maintained. I wish to take particular note of the fact that there were multiple free water stations around the convention space that the hotel provided (These were life savers when working a long shift!!).||Service:|The real reason I'm writing this review is because every single staff member that I interacted with was wonderful. The front desk and concierge staff were very accommodating when I requested someplace to store my bag prior to my room being ready. The front desk staff were very considerate when I was dropping the many items off for lost & found. When I was on shift for the event I would monitor and check for badges to an attendee only area, and many hotel staff would of course come through the area while working. Every single staff member acknowledged me and greeted me with a smile. Every. Single. One. I even had a few delightful conversations with some staff members when the traffic in my area was slow.||I would gladly stay here again, and I plan to.

Absolutely love Kalahari! The rooms are always clean, the water park is so fun and they seem to be ever changing and adding things. We had the absolute best customer service with Lee in the gift shop. Have to give a huge shout out to him.

This is a great family experience for all ages. We loved that you did not need to leave the resort for anything. They have everything you need for your stay. Restaurants, entertainment, and great rooms. The water park is extraordinary, and the arcade area could be its own attraction. Adding them together makes for a great time. If that wasn't enough, they even have bowling lanes and escape rooms to pair with the mini golf and zip line/climbing park. This is truly an amazing experience for the entire family!

I absolutely love this place and the vibrant atmosphere it offers. I hosted my oldest son's birthday party here years ago, and it was a fantastic experience. Now that the baby is older, he definitely had an amazing time in the water.
