We were in the area for an event nd decided to try Julia's Tavern for dinner. We were not disappointed in the least. We were seated at a hightop in the bar area with a freidnly smile from the hostess. Kelly (Our bartender/waitress) promptly came to the tabe with a warm pleasing disposition. She was friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable on the menu items. We asked her for some recommendations and may I say she was not wrong.

We started with the stuffed mushrooms which were delicious and hearty. They were stuffed with italian sausage which was well seasoned. Our entees were the Capricci Chicken sandwith and Italian Beef Hamburger. Both dishes were tastey and cooked to perfection. The chicken was tender and not dry and the italian beef and burger patty complimented each other well. We also wanted to try the grilled meatloaf so we ordered one to go. Man, this is one of the better meatlaofs we have ever had. The loaf was grilled well, not dry, the ground beef was not overworked so it was fork tender not dense. It had a mild smoky flavor which added to the nice char flavor from the gril.

Overall, we highly recommend for everyone to stop by this restanurant and enjoy their amazing food and wonderful atmosphere. We will be back every time we are in the area. since Julia's does not dissapoint.

My boyfriend and I were staying at the Harrahs and wanted to try a local spot. He found Juliet’s Tavern, and I’m so glad! Immediately after walking in, Kelly (our bartender) greeted us! She saw me taking pictures of this beautiful historic tavern and asked us if we wanted a tour!? Immediately I said yes please! What a beautiful place. Not only was it beautiful, the food was absolutely amazing and we couldn’t have asked for better service! Can’t wait until our next trip down. We will definitely be back and try more menu items. We shared 3 appetizers this time and all 3 were outstanding! Thank you Kelly for making this experience an amazing one! Can’t wait to see you and Juliet’s again!:)

Juliet’s Tavern in Joliet is a hidden gem! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for a casual dinner/lunch or drinks with friends. The vibe is laid-back but still feels a bit upscale, like the perfect mix of casual and classy The food was delicious—everything was fresh and flavorful, especially the burgers. Chef Richard deserves a special shout out for making them extra special. Our waitress Layna was super friendly. Highly recommend!

We arrived and we're promptly seated. Our waitress was very attentive, drinks brought in a timely fashion with dinner served shortly after ordering. The Surf and Turf was cooked correctly and extremely flavorful. The Steak Diane was fantastic. Portions were plentiful, and hot to the table. Dessert consisted of chocolate cake and blueberry cheesecake. The $40 bottle of Reisling proved to be a great compliment.
I highly recommend this establishment for an enjoyable, kid friendly, appetite pleasing experience.

Five stars across the board from me. I just had my wedding here and when I say it exceeded expectation... The service was amazing, every guest was bragging about their food and the amazing service of the wait staff and the bartender. It was so great I can't thank them enough. This Venue made our reception one to remember!

I recently visited Juliet’s, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt off. The staff seemed disorganized, and the general vibe of the restaurant was anything but welcoming. As I was seated, I couldn't help but notice the unprofessional demeanor of the manager. Instead of greeting patrons with warmth, they seemed more interested in looking down on customers and employees, offering a condescending attitude that made me feel uncomfortable.

The service was lackluster at best. Our server was slow to take our order and seemed distracted throughout the meal, despite the restaurant not being particularly busy. It wasn't just the service that fell short—the food, while passable, didn’t make up for the lack of attention or care that should be standard at any restaurant.

The overall environment also left a lot to be desired. The ambiance felt cold and uninviting, with poorly lit areas and a general sense of neglect. For a dining experience, these factors are crucial, and unfortunately, Juliet’s didn’t deliver on any front.

I really wanted to like this place, but given the combination of poor service, lackluster staff, and an unpleasant atmosphere, I won’t be returning. If the management and staff don't make significant changes, I fear this restaurant won't be able to maintain much of a customer base for long.
