For the most part, I enjoyed my stay. Yes, there was needed repairs that had not been done and yes, it was not during the summer season when activities were going on. It was a nice hotel, though a bit confusing with a nice view. And the buffet was excellent, probably the best one I have had at a hotel. I came during a special, 151.00 per night, including a buffet for two each night. So I figured maybe 300 plus taxes. But they added fee after fee. Buffet fee, lodging fee, resort fee, state tax and reservation fee. I think. It added 86.00. So my special was really more like 195.00 a night. Very misleading. I came thinking this a very reasonable price and left with a sour taste. If they were up front about all the fees, I might have not been so upset.

We went for Valentine's Day and had a wonderful time. The restaurant is good and very busy. Of course we were there during storms rolling in but we sat on the balcony and watched them come in over the lake. Room was comfortable and very clean. If you get a chance to stay here I suggest you do. These are the views from our room- before and after the storms.

Super rustic cabins, definitely historic. Just expect an old, old structure. Cabinet and doors don't close almost no utensils to cook with. Look, stove worked, refrigerator, worked, bathroom work, hot water and clean linens. Expect nothing more. Run down park boat ramp was unusable due to debris. Go below the dam and use that one.

Itโ€™s a great little get away. The staff at the front desk are always very nice and offer good information on the area. The rooms are pretty dated and due an update, as well as the surrounding property, but the rooms are spacious and all have a great view of the lake or pool and lake. Lots of wildlife outside at night and deer running across the road, so drive slowly. We love the pool. Bring your own food, thereโ€™s only one restaurant close and itโ€™s not good.

Came with the Rivertree church retreat. The rooms were nicer than I expected. The views are beautiful right off the water. The prime rib dinner buffet was fantastic and the serving staff was excellent. I will definitely return again.

It should have been obvious but we (my niece and I) did not know the difference between a Lodge and a Hotel. A Lodge is where you basically sleep for the night. And now that I know, it makes more sense. The rooms were clean and there was a little frig and microwave. The balcony was awesome! It overlooked the river. It was peaceful. There's a restaurant downstairs and we had all you can eat prime rib...it was great! Only problem I really had was I put our dirty towels out and asked for new ones, but never got them. Luckily, I always pack a couple, just in case. All together , our visit was peaceful and I got to spend time with my niece, so I am happy ๐Ÿ˜!

We were passing through the area and booked a room (210) at the lodge for $108 total. There are nice views of the large lake off of the Tennessee River. We were there on Wednesday so the restaurant was closed (open on Thursday and weekends only). The park is rather isolated so if you are staying during the early week there will be a several miles drive to civilization. Rooms are large with lots of wear. The ice machine on the second level is inoperative. The lodge has no bar and alcohol is not permitted in the large lobby area. All rooms face the lake and have a veranda with two chairs. Do not know why there is not a table there to rest oneโ€™s refreshments on. There is also a mini refrigerator in the room. Wi-Fi is available.
