I had a Cobb salad and it hit the spot. The waiter was friendly but wasn't really about providing good service. I sat for a long time before getting a drink refill and even longer to get my check. Just not very attentive.

2nd time eating at this location, my husband and I both got chicken strips. The menu says 5 when the plates came each had 4 the waitress then came back to refill our drinks and said that they were cooking the additional 1 piece for each, I had not said anything she/they figured out their own mistake. The chicken was overcooked, and the fries were good. There is the restaurant at Street Level, a hotel, and we found out on this visit there is also a restaurant upstairs, we may try there on another day. The waitress told me they have a different menu upstairs.

I went twice in one week due to staying at the hotel. I was told they only have one cook which is why my order took over an hour to come out both times. My second visit it was literally closing time when my food finally arrived, so when my order came out looking completely unappetizing (and also not what I ordered) all I could do was ask for a refund & leave hungry. I understand being short staffed, perhaps give patrons a heads up that there is only one cook and wait times might take more than an hour before they order this way they know what to anticipate or have the option to not wait and go somewhere else. I could tell staff was really trying their best, which is why I gave 2 stars instead of 1.

Allow me to craft a mixed review for The Landing.

My dining experience at The Landing Upstairs, Jeremiah's, was quite a mixed bag. Let's begin with the positive aspect – the food. It was nothing short of exceptional. The Monte Cristo and fries were a symphony of delicious flavors that could only be described as perfection. In addition, the bacon-wrapped scallops was also quite enjoyable, leaving a savory aftertaste that lingered on the palate.

However, there were a few shortcomings that prevented this dining experience from reaching its full potential. Firstly, I must express my disappointment with the prime rib. Although I ordered it cooked to a perfect medium-rare, it was served closer to medium-well. The slightly overcooked nature detracted from the tenderness I had anticipated, leaving me yearning for a more precise execution.

The table was dirty and much to our horror the waiter used his filthy booger-picking hands to just wipe the food onto the floor

Furthermore, I must acknowledge the sluggish service that plagued our visit. Regrettably, we found ourselves spending a lofty two hours in the restaurant, with the bulk of that time dedicated to waiting. For an hour prior to receiving our food, we were left idling, eagerly anticipating the arrival of our dishes. This extended period of waiting undoubtedly affected our overall satisfaction with the experience.

In summary, while The Landing showcased its culinary prowess in some aspects, such as the delectable Monte Cristo and the tantalizing bacon-wrapped scallops, it fell short in key areas. The prime rib not being cooked to the desired medium and the sluggish service left a blemish on an otherwise promising dining experience. So, although the positives were praiseworthy, the aforementioned negatives should be taken into account when considering a visit to The Landing.

Every time I’ve gone I’ve had excellent service, but tonight was above and beyond. Our server, Michael was amazing. So kind, funny, and attentive. He made our night for sure and was easily one of the best host experiences I’ve ever had.

Been a life long resident and have had to watch the crushing fall of my once favorite food place on the island, I've gotten the same meal everytime for over 10 years and the quality of the restaurant has degraded so horribly and quickly over the last couple years it's not worth it to eat there anymore. The prices have risen while food portions and quality have diminished severely, the current owner isn't an island resident and has cut the $25 birthday meal cards that many of us have loved for years into a "20% off" instead. The chicken tenders (my once favorite) are practically the size of chicken nuggets and the last 4-5 times I've tried to give the landing another chance I've been disappointed at nearly every turn with food taking an egregiously long time, my food has been burnt everytime, and the general management of everything has been a downward spiral for the place. I don't recommend eating here, you would spend your money better at McDonalds unfortunately.

Oh, boy. Let’s start with the one positive. Our server, Kristi, she was the ONLY saving grace. She is very kind, and was extremely apologetic for our experience. She deserves a better place to work.

First, we came here because the honey mustard chicken sandwich came HIGHLY recommended. Unfortunately, it was not the honey mustard that the recommender grew up loving. It was basically yellow mustard with a dash of honey. Luckily we learned this from our friends sitting next to us, and were able to order other items.

Or maybe unlucky.

We ordered calamari to start - it was basically all batter that was bland at best. A lot of the pieces didn’t seem to have any meat. That took about 35 minutes to come out.

One person from our little group ordered sliders - they actually hit the table before the appetizer, because they came from downstairs? They were absolutely flavorless. The only thing you could taste was the bread. So bad that my 3 year old took one bite and spit it out.

I ordered the Monte Cristo with a cup of salmon chowder- the chowder came first, before the calamari, and it was decent. That would probably be the only thing I would be order, but I do not plan on returning. The sandwich was awful. I couldn’t even eat it. The bread was soggy because they didn’t cook the egg all the way through. And why are you using that nasty plastic American cheese? I had one bite and lost my appetite.

The third person from our party ordered grilled cheese with tomato bisque - I do not understand how they messed up a grilled cheese. But they did. It didn’t look like there was any cheese so he pulled it apart, and the white substance that was on the sandwich was clumpy and not melted. He also said he was pretty sure the “tomato bisque” tasted like cheap canned spaghetti sauce. He had a few bites of the soup, and none of the sandwich.

Our fourth and final person ordered a burger - he was hungry, so ate it, but said it was mediocre at best. But, the best part was this: about half way through the burger, we pulled something from it. It was the WAX PAPER SQAURE MENT TO KEEP RAW PATTIES SEPARATED. In ALL of my years working and managing restaurants, I have NEVER seen this happen.

Also, the 3 sandwiches outside the sliders took ONE AND A HALF HOURS TO GET TO OUR TABLE!! In hindsight, we should have had Kristi cancel our order and go somewhere else. The boys ended up stopping at Godfathers because they were still hungry after not being able to consume the inedible food.

If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. I will never return.

Again, Kristi was INCREDIBLE! We loved her.
