This has been my second time staying here and itโ€™s definitely going to be my go-to stay when hiking around these parts of the Sierras. The host team is super responsive and extremely friendly. The building itself is rustic and extremely cozy, very little house on the prairie vibes here which I am all about. Amenities are what you need, and the town of lone pine has some great restaurants. Will be staying here time and time again!

A great location and deal if you're planning on visiting Yosemite, Sequoia National Park or any of the other local parks. Yosemite Valley is about an hour drive away if there's no traffic. Sequoia was about 1.5 hours away. Super home like space and comfortable beds. All the guests there were friendly when I stayed and we quickly became good friends meeting for exchanging our travel stories at the end of the day. The outdoor cat there was also so cute and hung out on the picnic table in the front a lot. I purchased food at the grocery store near Fresno before driving up here so got a better deal and selection than what the limited local stores had to offer. I recommend that if you can. The pizza place nearby was very good though.

There is no AC so a stay during cooler or not as hot months is better. There are several fans but still AC is AC. I stayed the beginning of June and it was fine. There are also no lockers for storage so leave your things in your car if you want. I left my clothes in my luggage next to my bed and didn't have any problems. There are also no shades on the windows, which I guess helps you get up early! But it would be nice to have shades to sleep in a little longer.

Without exaggerating, I just loved this hostel. It's really cozy!
They did a really good job decorating and designing the common areas and the kitchen was fully equipped, with oven and all!
There's a fireplace, a barbecue and a lovely cat who likes to say hi!
The rooms and bathrooms are clean.
Of course the hostel is a bit noisy, but its fine with earplugs.
Lovely people and a good location.
Still a 2 hour drive from Yosemite though!

I really liked this hostel! Super clean, cute, and very hospitable/ personable. I really enjoyed the feel of being at home, and I was very fortunate to have such wonderful roommates to share my female dorm with, it felt like a slumber party! I really enjoyed the other two that were in the co-Ed room. Overall, I had such a wonderful stay that I will definitely be back!!!

Super cozy and budget friendly. Ability to use the full kitchen. Bathroom and all rooms are clean. Towel provided with bed; as well as blankets. Overall, I would stay again. Arrived super late from hiking Yosemite Falls and the drive back was 1hr45 min 2, so do bear that in mind. Rented the girls dorm and thatโ€™s right next to the bathroom. Bottom bunks were comfortable. Lights off / noise off at 10pm. Local bar open if you wish to keep the party going.
