This was our first time visiting the Williams, AZ area and we were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. I planned this for my wife and really wanted it to be special. We were not disappointed! The cabin we stayed in was very well decorated, very clean, and everything we needed was in place. The staff quickly accommodated us when we requested more coffee pods for the Keurig and more bath linen. Mary, the manager was very nice and we felt like anything we needed was never a problem. The privacy and location was just what we wanted. A great location to travel to Hoover Dam, Grand Canyon or Sedona. I am sure there are others but these were our highlights. So much better than any hotel!
We hope to visit the area again and would definitely recommend The History Inn to anyone looking for a good place to spend a few nights.

We were extremely pleased with our 2 night stay at Inn History! This was our lodging after a 2 day Rim-to-Rim hike, so we knew we would want someplace comfortable where we could sleep well and just relax after miles of hiking. The moment we opened the door to our cabin, we were blown away by the accommodations. The attention to details cannot be understated here; the owners have infused the cabins with photography and artifacts celebrating the Grand Canyon (complete with QR codes linking to longer descriptions of each item). Having stayed at Phantom Ranch the night before check in, we loved that the cabins resembled the rustic lodging at the bottom of the canyon, and the photographs brought us back to the hike. There are so many other fun details - too many to share here! But I would have to say this is the perfect place to stay for a visit to the Grand Canyon (we've stayed at the South Rim a number of times and would choose Inn History over those lodges). The bedding was very comfortable, the mini-kitchen had just what we needed to put together a simple breakfast in the morning, and there are two grills in a common area that we used to make dinner. There are also two fire pits, which we enjoyed both nights of our stay, just to relax and enjoy the stars!

The location is perfect; about an hour from the Rim, and close to Williams for access to groceries, restaurants, and fun Rt 66 stores/museums. I would include photos, but honestly the photos on the website portray this property exactly as it appears. We cannot wait to return for a longer stay!

Inn History was just amazing. Super clean, great bed and linens.
But, we really enjoyed the very thoughtful and lovely historical touches, fabulous books and links to online pictures and historical highlights of early explorers and settlers of the Grand Canyon, and paying tribute to the native Americans that were here first!
We loved our stay and wished we had stayed longer! We will be back!

We were extremely pleased with our two-night stay at Inn History! After our two-day Rim-to-Rim hike, we were looking for a place where we could relax and get some restful sleep. From the moment we stepped into our cabin, the accommodations blew us away. The attention to detail here is exceptional; the cabins are decorated with Grand Canyon-themed photography and artifacts, complete with QR codes that link to detailed descriptions of each item. Having stayed at Phantom Ranch the night before, we appreciated how the cabin exteriors resembled the rustic lodging at the bottom of the canyon. The photographs on the walls brought back wonderful memories of our hike. There are so many unique touches here—too many to list! However, I would say that Inn History is the perfect place for a Grand Canyon visit.||||The bedding was incredibly comfortable, the mini-kitchen was well-equipped for a simple breakfast, and the two grills in the common area were perfect for dinner. We also enjoyed sitting at the fire pits each night (there are two), where we relaxed under the stars.||||The location is excellent—about an hour from the Rim and close to Williams, where you can find groceries, restaurants, and fun Route 66 attractions. The photos on the website perfectly capture the property’s charm. We can't wait to return for a longer stay!

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY A GEM!! I didn’t expect I’d be staying at such a lovely place - very finely decorated and you can see the quality of materials and great effort they put in this place. Everything is luxurious! Not the closet and best location to Grand Canyon but good enough. Definitely worth the money! Make sure you go out and stargaze at night - it’s mesmerising.

Recently stayed at Inn History and couldn’t be happier. Somewhat close proximity (about less than an hour) to Grand Canyon South Rim entrance was our main reason of staying and being about a 10 minute drive to Williams, AZ was an added plus. The cabins were spacious for me and my wife, the beds were comfortable and had everything we needed. The rates were very fair compared to lesser hotels in the Tusayan area, if you don’t mind driving a little further to get to Grand Canyon, this is your spot.

Cabin was great! Modern, clean, cozy and perfect for our stay visiting the Grand Canyon. Amenities were nice too! Loved the firepit and BBQ area as well for kicking back in the evening. Was surprisingly quiet being located on a busy road. Would highly recommend.
