Wow, the walls, the carpet, the vibe! Feel like Iโ€™m in a well put together French Hotel of some kind. The host even had a French accent. Love this stay, glad I found it!

This hotel has recently been very tastefully remodeled . We stayed here due to its location to events and restaurants all within walking distance .Street parking was available or a garage around the corner $35||Room had a small fridge, microwave , toaster and coffee maker which we used for our breakfasts and reheating delicious leftovers.||The bed was only a Queen but it was very comfortable and the pillows were great !

Great place in the theater district. Easy walking distance to Hayes Valley for shopping and restaurant. Short walk to market street to catch a bus to Union Square or Ferry Building. Farmerโ€™s Market is also a few block away on the weekend.

I was very worried about the location.
But it was a great location and the hotel has itโ€™s very own nice old charm.
There were some homeless a few streets further but not in the road of the hotel.
The environment of the hotel was safe.
The Staff member Simbawe from Texas (not sure about the pronounciation) was very nice.

Pros:
-Good location for what I wanted to do during the day.
-Gated car garage meant I felt safer parking my car rather than on the street.
-Good coffee available in the morning.
-SOME of the staff were very helpful
-Small room but it had a separate small little living room area and 2 TVs.

Cons:
-No air conditioning in the rooms. Windows only opened about 2 inchs so the room was HOT and UNCOMFORTABLE at night to sleep.
-Stand fan that came the next night after I asked about it didn't do much but blow warm air.
-Didn't feel safe walking around from the car garage.

Biggest issue
There was no air conditioning and my room was extremely hot. We were given a stand fan and had to have the window opened up the few inches it actually did open in order to get any sort of cool air. The next night was somehow worse and it was very hard to sleep.

When i reported the issue during the check out, the rep said "are you sure it was hot?". Of course I am sure it was hot! What a ridiculous thing to ask. There are also seemed to be confusion about "which side of the building actually had air conditioning" as one staff said one thing while another said something else.

Won't be returning because even though it was "cool" at night, it was hot the room with no circulation. Can't sleep in that.

Spent a few nights on a layover in SFO. Great boutique hotel. Our suite was perfect. Only negative was that there is no AC and the temps were quite warm.
