This inn made our trip! A beautiful historic inn! Loved having a working fireplace in the room. Our room was so cozy and inviting, clean with beautiful decor. The evening warm cookies delivered to the room were a treat! Great location. Walking distance to the Dana Thomas House.

My husband and my anniversary is coming up on Valentine’s Day. I didn't want to travel so I looked for a nice place to stay in our city through Hotel.Com. They had the Inn At 835 Boutique on their website. I booked a room for $136.84. When I was looking at the reservation I saw I didn't have the jacuzzi room as I planned. I pick the wrong room. I called the hotel who told me I would have to pay 200 more and I needed to get this done through Hotel.com. I called Hotel.com who told me my $136.84 was nonrefundable but the hotel agreed if I paid 138.00 and one hundred something upon arrival, I would get a Jacuzzi room. We all agreed to this. On Monday, February 3rd, I called the hotel to get chocolate-covered strawberries delivered to my room. Asked them about me being upgraded to the Jacuzzi room. They were aware of everything and told me the strawberries would cost me $19.00 more. On Saturday the 8th the hotel called me personally and told me I needed $200 something more because Hotel.com didn't update them on anything and I needed to call Hotel.com to update them. Now take in mind Monday they told me that everything was updated. I contacted Hotel.Com which is aware of the agreement contacted the hotel who told them the person who agreed to that wasn't authorized. Really? I think they just wanted more money. Take in mind it's Valentine's weekend so I can't find a hotel anywhere because they're all booked. I feel everything happens for a reason and maybe the hotel wouldn't have been right for us to stay if they were doing people like this. Hotel. Com apologize but I feel you just don't do people like this.

This was my wife's and my second stay here. Did a single night just to get away. First time we came here was 5 years ago and decided that a one night stay was needed. Last time there was an honesty pantry on the 3rd floor where one could buy bottled water, soda etc. This time there was no place within the building to buy any water or anything. This was our only fault with this trip otherwise it was perfect. See you in the next couple years.

I have stayed at the Inn at 835 before and loved the charm but feel compelled to write my first ever review - I stayed in the Hyacinth room 3/12/2025 where there is a whirlpool tub with a handheld shower nozzle (it says this in fine print in the listing, so is on me that I didn't see it but would not have been a big deal.) I checked in at 8 pm 3/12 and later when I tried to shower before bed, I saw a note on the tub that the handheld shower nozzle wasn't working! So, I squatted in the tub and used a coffee cup to try to wash my hair. Such a bummer, so I highly recommend making sure you can shower when you are shown a room! I wrote a note in the "contact us" section of their website on the day I checked out 3/13 and called (spoke to Kathy) 3/14 and 3/18 and haven't heard back about my concerns and a potential reduction in the $235.89 total I paid for the one night there. Sad because I prefer it (and will spend more) to stay there on my frequent work trips to Springfield but seems like a low bar to expect to be able to shower in accommodations like this!

Had a great one night stay at the Inn. It’s a charming historic building with comfortable rooms and beds. Service was great including breakfast, restaurant recommendations, and delicious freshly baked cookies on our door at night. Locations was excellent with free parking onsite and walking distance to historic sights and restaurants downtown. We’ll definitely stay again next time we’re in Springfield.

This boutique hotel is amazing. Four of us were on a trip together so we got the two bedroom suite with the living room and fireplace. Gorgeous old historic building and lovely furnishings in a quiet location. She’s an old building so she has some creaks but I wouldn’t want it any other way. Welcoming and helpful staff.

Stayed in the Dahlia room with the original and restored clawfoot tub...so nice to soak after a rainy and chilly November day of walking in Springfield.|The staff are kind and welcoming. We stayed 3 nights to see the Lincoln and other related sites. THis is well located in a short walk to the capital, the huge new Lincoln Museum and Library the Vachel Lindsey House and the Dana-Thomson Frank Lloyd Wright house. |This is a longtime purpose built hotel and one feels right at home. Apparently it is haunted by Rose, the business woman who built the hotel in 1909. |The WIFi is good; the TV and heater controls complicated but ultimately functional.|Clean and they accommodated our request for home made Oatmeal on our last Breakfast (We were the only guests that night.) Otherwise the breakfast is ordinary but good enough.|I highly recommend the 835.

We just had our company Christmas party with 125 people in attendance at the Inn at 835 and it was fantastic! We worked with Angie to plan the event and she made the planning process super easy. The party was great and everything went perfectly without a hitch. Excellent staff, food, and venue! 5 stars! I would definitely recommend hosting your event at the Inn@835!
