I've had the privilege of hosting a Spirit FUNdraising™ event at Ingersoll-Blackwelder Mansion. Thanks to its owners’ generosity of Spirit: Ingersoll-Blackwelder Mansion was ours for a day to raise funds, awareness, and guests' spirits supporting the Beverly Area Planning Association. Equally fun for ME? Volunteering during Beverly Arts Alliance's Art Walk and Chicago Architecture Center's Open House Chicago.

This truly historic treasure inspires guests in infinite ways, thanks to its Curator-with-Love, Sandra. I teach: We're all mediums for doing Good. I believe Sandra Biedron may do more than any one Soul to promote Chicago's southwest side as a place to Love to live, create, play, stay, and work.

Another "Thank You" to Sandra and ALL supporting BAPA at our Event: Volunteers UPlifted ALL. Guests' questions were FAB! Kindness, tea, treats, & cheap Champagne overflowed. AND, at a non-Reading Event: They came flying by. Of course They did. Why?

UPlifting Energies always inhabit Ingersoll-Blackwelder Mansion...from both sides of Heaven!

Our company, Fresh Films, used the house as a filming location for a TV pilot filmed as part of a teen filmmaking program. The space is incredible and the staff could not have been more responsive and collaborative. We would absolutely recommend this space for anyone looking for a film location or to host an event!

The Ingersoll-Blackwelder Home is a wonderful space to hold an event. Sandra, the owner is welcoming and takes extra care with potential guests. We had a sticky situation with our wedding that required us to switch venues at the last minute. Sandra was incredibly understanding. We were still able to use the house and have friends from overseas and out of state save money on their accommodations. The house and grounds are spacious and full of wonderful history. If you are looking for a unique place to have a reception or event, please do consider this space.

I wish I could visit the Ingersoll Blackwelder House more often: this place is truly remarkable. I traveled all the way from Germany to attend there a special event, a birthday costume party. Apart from the joy of being with my lovely friends, the experience was impeccable: elegant atmosphere, excellent food, fine wine. This place is the perfect frame for any kind of event, in every season, I would add. I personally loved the wood floors and the staircase, and the feeling of being traveling in time when walking on them. There was also a moder art exhibition, and nothing is more enjoyable than appreciating art in a place that is art itself. I look forward to the next invitation.

I have attended meetings through the Beverly Area Planning Association (BAPA), community events and private parties at the Ingersoll Blackwelder House and the setting and service have been outstanding. The house was also featured on the Chicago Architecture Center's Open House Chicago, and it was a highlight among neighborhood locations. The owners have done a wonderful job of preserving the beauty and hospitality of the Victorian era in the heart of one of Chicago's most amazing historic communities.

This lovely and historic home was ideal for the wedding of our dreams! We and our guests loved every detail, from the spacious yet intimate interiors, to the beautiful landscaping and decoration, to the plentiful table settings and knowledge of our hosts. When visiting Chicago from Italy, I often attend events at the Ingersoll-Blackwelder House. The last event I attended was an amazing, Halloween-themed birthday party. Both the civic events and privately-held events at the property evoke a more refined European style, in that a grand home is opened for public view. This is not often found in the United States but exists in the Ridge Historic District neighborhood of Chicago at this great old mansion.

UNIQUE and CLASSY! If you're looking for a welcoming and gorgeous venue for your next event, large or small, this is it! The home was restored to nearly it's original state and is a sight to see. Imagine having your event in a location that's as gorgeous as a museum yet as cozy and inviting as home. There is pelnty of parking, and easy to access from all over the city and suburbs. Even the Metra train is only one quick block away. I've attended several events at the Ingersoll Blackwelder House, and each one has been a lovely experience to the point where guests did not want to leave! Kudos to the owners for opening this home for use by so many people!
