The range wasn’t crowded at all. The staff at the booth where you get your golf balls was very nice. A bucket of balls cost $8- cash only and they come out of a machine on the bottom floor. It’s two levels. We enjoyed it. Everyone there was pretty much minding their own business working on their swings. The rooms are nice. The views are spectacular.

The staff is friendly and professional and helpful. I was there to work an event for NYE, but I didn't have the right kind of shoes (I had beat up sneakers) so my boss was told I needed to change my shoes or leave. It was a high class event and I didn't have the right shoes and nothing at home that would work. So I left and went home. I was worried this might happen and it did, but I'll try to be ready for next time. 😉

This course is for sure a hidden gem. Challenging course but yet doable. The views and nature is amazing and staff is supper friendly and the shop has a lot of goodies. The golf carts have gps so no need for a range finder and the greens are perfect. I played the babe and will definitely go back to play the Ike. The only reason for the 4 instead of 5 was when I got there I was told it was cart path only which if I knew that before hand I would have brought my push cart to reduce all the unnecessary walking and guessing which club to use so I don't have to walk back and forth. But if I knew it was cart path only in advance I would give five stars. This place is a golfers paradise.

Failed attempt at a high end convention resort property.
The Babe is the shorter of two courses. Its reputation is of a tight course, but it is not really narrow. Too many blind or ill-defined holes, especially for a public play course. The fairways and the greens were in good or better than good condition, but the tees were chewed up despite there being plenty of room to move the tee locations. But what was totally unacceptable for any course, especially a pricey one what is the condition of the bunkers. There is no sand in any bunker, none. All of the bunkers are basically hard pan which is unplayable given that the bunkers have severe lips. My complaint about the bunkers echoes at least 5 years of complaints, and until that problem is fixed, I would not recommend playing at the course.

Stayed there for a church conference. The conference facilities and rooms are good and can easily accommodate several hundred attendants. The rooms are average size with no microwaves. I don't play golf so I will leave those comments for the golfers.

Played the Ike course on Monday, July 8th, 2024. The Good: Wonderful, interesting layout. Greens in good shape.

The Not So Good: The bunkers are without sand and hard. The cart paths are rough and in serious need of resurfacing. Much of the course looks messy and needs to be cleaned up.

This course could be one of the best in Southern California with better maintenance and management. It seems to be hurting financially based on the terrible bunkers, cart paths and trashy conditions.

The fee to play was $84. Worth no more than $50 under the current conditions.
