My best friend planned my bachelorette party for eight girls. We intended to have spa treatments and dinner at Indian Springs, and we were prepared to spend money at the resort, ordering plenty of drinks and food.

We called over 15 times and emailed five times to book a group reservation over a period of 6 weeks. The event planner finally called back, saying, "We had to call back because the manager told me to” What kind of service is that? You are a five-star resort. A Four Seasons treats you better than this.

To end this review, we ended up going to their competition, Golden Haven. They immediately answered our call on the first ring, and we booked our services right away.

I give this five-star resort one star for terrible service. Sure, other people may have had great service and a wonderful time, but that was not our experience. Indian Springs, you lost future clientele. We were prepared to spend, I believe, around $2,000 to $3,000 just on treatments and drinks. I guess you don’t care because you’re just so popular.

We've been going to Indian Springs for decades, back when it was some rustic cottages and a 50s vibe- every visit the resort gets better and better! It's not a 'deal' (ie: not inexpensive), but the value is incredible! It is so clean, friendly, relaxing and lovely. 24 hours at IS made me feel like I'd been on a week resort vacation. The staff is all pleasant, polite, professional, discreet and attentive. The pool is amazing. The restaurant is friendly, delicious, and generous portions. Our room was spacious, clean, and had every amenity we could want, and a bunch we didn't even think of (I mean- there are umbrellas, flashlights, snacks, toiletries, cozy robes, extra towels and blankies- seriously everything you'd want!). I just love this place. The landscaping and common areas and ambiance is welcoming and impeccable. The rooms so comfy. and OMG the shower in our room! Soooooooo perfect- great water pressure, hot water fast, and delicious smelling soaps and such. All the details are thoughtful, nuanced, noticed and appreciated! Yeah, it's a bit spendy... and, It's a splurge for us 'normal' people, but so worth it! A weekday getaway is a true treat!

Love this place. Feels elegantly old-world in the best possible sense. Luxury without excess. Very relaxing. Wonderful spa treatments, bathrobes, and of course the gigantic hot pool and the bicycles to use to explore Calistoga. The only thing that I missed this time were better food options. I was there for a health retreat, and missed delicious and simple breakfast and dinner options.

Have been to Calistoga hot springs many times but never to the jewel resort of Indian Springs so this was a sort if bucket list getaway. It exceeded every expectation. We visited on a two night mid week getaway taking advantage of a shoulder/off-season discounted rate. It was still expensive even with the discount and we stayed in the smallest room in the lodge, but everything was perfect. The linens were FRETTE, the room was updated and clean, quiet and elegant. The grounds are immaculate, welcoming, and relaxing, and I can’t say enough about the old school vintage vibe of the soaking pool. We soaked in the morning, we soaked in the afternoon and we soaked under the stars. The pool provides giant pool noodles and floating pad loungers. It was uncrowded, quiet, and absolutely lovely. We both loved it and will be back.

Great place for the entire family! I had no idea this would be such a perfect place for our kids, we visited sans kids before. Everything was perfect, the on site dinning options, the enormous hot springs pool(92-100 degrees), which the kids enjoyed. There is a water dispenser in the pool grounds and you can refill as much as you like to stay hydrated, also a very nice cafe inside the pool grounds as well, with lunch, snack, treat and beverage options. The grounds are wonderful for kids, very spacious, play area, chicken coop, and many outdoor games to play around the property.

My husband and I just stayed one night at Indian Springs Calistoga and we had a great time. Location is right on the main strip of the town and the property is beautiful. The hot spring pool is absolutely amazing and they have a bar there too! We also had dinner at Sam's and really enjoyed the food, ambiance and service. Checking in and out was easy and they even let us checkin a little early and checkout a little late since we only were there for one night. The room was absolutely adorable and had everything you could need. I would love to come back in the summer but staying in the winter was lovely! I highly recommend. And all of the little shops in Calistoga make walking around and exploring so much fun!

Such a great time. Beautiful weather and the resort was pristine. Not too crowded. Come mid week and you’ll have the place almost to yourself. Walking distance to dinning, shopping, and many wine tasting options. The spa and hot spring were amazing.

My friends and I stayed for 3 nights in one of the 2-bedroom standalone bungalows, which was very (too) expensive for what it is. For the price, the bungalow was very small, not very comfortable, with a very basic and dated bathroom. But the reason for my low rating is related to customer service. On our second day there, I left my wet bathing suit in my room on towels while we went to lunch, rather than put it on the furniture (there is no closet in one of the rooms or anywhere to hang things). Housekeeping came while we were out and they accidentally took the bathing suit with the towels. I totally understand how this happened and wasn’t mad or upset at all! I called the front desk and let them know what had happened, and they told me they hadn’t found it but would call if they found it later. The next day, after I had checked out and left the state, I received an email letting me know they’d found my bathing suit. They sent me a link to arrange for it to be shipped to me through a lost and found service, but the shipping options available through this service seemed very expensive for a single bathing suit, ranging from $40-$75! This would be one thing if I’d left the item behind in the room when I checked out or somewhere on the property, but since the item was actually (accidentally) taken from my room, I don’t think I should have to pay the cost of returning it — especially when they only offer a service with such crazy high prices. I called and politely explained the situation to the manager and was shocked by his insistence that this was the same as a “lost and found” situation, that it was my fault for leaving it with the towels instead of hanging it up, and that I could either pay the expensive shipping or forfeit the bathing suit. I am not upset at all with housekeeping and know it was an accident, but this policy and the manager’s insistence that they had no responsibility was outrageous, especially for the price and level of customer experience they claim to provide. Super disappointing end to an already disappointing stay.
