This place is super nice! Very clean and well maintained! The staff is very friendly throughout the entire area! Relaxation + very tasty food = total bliss! The SPA is of excellent quality! This is my first time in a place like this, and definitely not the last. I highly recommend it.

This was my first time visiting ISPA. While their amenities may be more limited compared to Imperial or Wi Spa in LA, they meet my needs and are conveniently located in Irvine. The facility is very clean, and most of the patrons, as far as I can tell, are locals. I appreciate that they have a separate computer room and a playroom for kids, which I haven’t seen at other Korean spas. The place is well-run, very organized, and the check-in process is seamless—quick and easy. I noticed the crowd starts to increase around 6:30 PM, but it doesn’t feel overly crowded. I assume they manage crowd control well at the front desk, unlike Wi Spa.

One suggestion I have is to add multiple drinking fountains in the common areas, as there is currently only one in the cafeteria. Additionally, there should be clear signs (like the ones for Food) prohibiting the use of phones in the changing rooms and common bath areas. I noticed some patrons (mainly teens) using their phones inappropriately, texting and pointing them at the same direction where other women who were changing. This is why it’s important to have clear signs prohibiting phone use in the changing rooms and common bath areas. Given the loose policy of phone use inside the changing rooms, I am not sure if I will return.

Six hours for $35 is a great deal for a spa experience. They have a huge community room with a heated floor. Most people just lay down and relax. There have an ice room, salt room Forest room and one room that's really hot. I like the cold, and could spend 6 hours in the ice room. The restaurant serves some good food.

The locker rooms have spas and saunas. These areas are full nude. They have disposable toothbrushes and razors. There's a couple rooms with recliners to watch TV.

I paid extra for a massage which I didn't care much for. It was weak, especially the feet. Several nerves are in your feet and I wasn't relaxed at all. I give my lady friend much better massages.

If you go, just get the $35 spa day.

I wish I read the reviews in advance .
Stay away We had a terrible experience at Irvine Spa and do not recommend it.

Booking Issues & Miscommunication

We called ahead and specifically requested a couple's massage, but the staff misunderstood us due to a language barrier. They confirmed they offer massages, so we booked an oil massage, advertised as a Swedish massage on their website.

Hygiene & Facility Issues

Upon arrival, I was shocked by the lack of hygiene:

No slippers—everyone walks barefoot, even in wet areas like bathrooms.

No private changing rooms—everyone is nude in shared spaces, which wasn’t disclosed during booking. Their website is misleading and does not clearly state this.

Terrible Massage & Poor Service

We were placed in separate rooms, despite booking a couple’s massage.

My massage was horrible—no technique, just excessive oil, and ignored requests for more pressure.

Hot towels were placed on me without warning.

Communication was impossible due to the masseuse’s language barrier.
Also, I spent more time alone in the room, than getting massaged. She left multiple times to go get hot towels because they do not have them in the room, and it wasn’t a quick trip. At some point I thought she’d stopped to talk to a friend because she took so long.

Unhelpful Management

I voiced my concerns to the manager about the misleading website and bad massage, but she refused a refund, claiming the service was provided.

Final Thoughts

For $125, I got a subpar massage, didn’t use the facilities, and felt completely uncomfortable. If you’re expecting a standard spa experience, stay away. Do not be fooled by their website.

This was my first time at a Korean spa and I must say it was lovely! The entrance fee is $35 per person and you get shorts and shirt and a locker key. The admission fee gets you in the common area for 6 hours. The common area has 5 rooms you can go in. The floors are heated which is heavenly! They also have a cafeteria, which we tried after sitting in the ice room. The place is overall very clean and it was not what I expected of a spa but I had a great time!

For a $35 day pass (6 hours max), this place is a great deal if you want to spend the day relaxing in the spa. They do waive the entrance fee if you get a service over a certain $ amount but I only had a little over 2.5 hours so I decided not to get a service this time.

This is a traditional Korean style spa with a large co-ed public area including several different temperature co-ed rooms with different healing benefits. They had a salt room, a clay room, a forest room and a cold room.

They also have separate women's and men's spa areas with jacuzzis at different temperatures (hot, warm, and cold), dry sauna and wet sauna plus a ton of standing and sit down showers. NO CLOTHES OR SWIMSUITS ALLOWED, so if you aren't comfortable being naked this might not be your thing. Honestly no one looks at you, this is very normal in Asian bathing culture.

They also offer a restaurant with a full menu of Korean dishes plus a kids play room, a quiet room and a large area to watch TV while relaxing on the heated floor.

The have an unlimited supply of towels in the sauna area which I appreciated too. The place was clean, not sparking clean but decently clean. The showers do have shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothbrush and toothpaste.

They also have drink vending machine and an ATM for your convenience. There is plenty of free parking right in their lot too.

I can't give a review for any of the services but I absolutely love Korean scrubs so I will update my review once I try a service here.

Overall this was a great experience and a good value with the $35 day pass! Very relaxing day here, I will definitely be back!

Not my first time at I-Spa and was seriously disappointed, I went to front desk to complain but the staff simply ignored me, I will be calling back to speak to management and update this post. I paid for a 60-minute oil massage and it was the absolute worst massage I’ve ever gotten. I get regular massages weekly and even have a membership at massage envy. I had gotten massages at I-Spa before and had never experienced anything this bad. The masseuse clearly did not know how to massage, it seemed like she never completed any certification or competency course. When I asked her to massage using standard techniques, her reply was “I don’t understand” or “I don’t know what that is”. The place has gotten really lax with the quiet policy in the massage area too. It’s a place to relax, but all I heard were people’s conversations in the hallway, until I had to tell the masseuse to please go out and tell people to be quiet. The nonstop talking never once phased her; at one time it was like 3 men having a thorough conversation, so rude and annoying. I understand the rooms do not have proper doors but the noise had never been an issue before. Also, I spent more time alone in the room, than getting massaged. She left multiple times for hot towels because they do not have hot towels in the room, and it wasn’t a quick trip. At one point I thought she’d stopped to talk to a friend because she took so long. Even at massage envy the masseuse has all the tools needed in the room and never leaves during the massage session, the time is all about you and your relaxation. The massage was a complete waste of about $150; out of a 60minute, I think I got 30min out of it tops. My other issue was the cleanliness, the hot tubs clearly say no more than 4 people. When I entered the tub there were 3, then more people went in and at one time there were 7 ladies in the tub. No one obeyed the rule. Additionally, the hot tub water was murky and had oils or other residue swimming in the water, I was grossed out. Two ladies kept going under the faucet area where water rushes out and washing their hair in it; like at a waterfall, clearly not understanding that’s what the showers are for and not the tub. Not sure if that was why the water was murky from their hair oils, but it was gross. The hot tubs before were always crystalline waters, so something was wrong. The cold tub was crystal clear, but also hardly anyone likes the cold plunge. I also did not see as much staff cleaning up as before. All in all, it seems like there has been a change of ownership or management because the place did not seem managed as strictly as before. It was disappointing.

A very clean space and a great concept. We went on a Friday and it was still quite occupied. Can only imagine what it is like on a weekend. The massage and the scrub was great. Love. The heated floors, and the sauna rooms food in the cafe was quite good, a bit pricey though. Will definitely go back
