As others have said this is in a great location close to most of the stuff you might want to do if you’re visiting Chicago and a very good option if you drove to the city. Many hotels in the area charge for parking this hotel has 2 free parking spaces per room and charges $20 for additional. We had expensive stuff in our truck and I felt safe that it wouldn’t be stolen in the parking area. These were the main reasons for choosing this hotel. The hotel was reasonably priced for where it was and including parking but the taxes and fees jumped the price quite a bit I think around $30 extra. It has free breakfast that was average and disappointing that it didn’t open until 7. The room was dated the bed was comfortable but the room really smelled like septic or wet socks. Luckily we had air fresheners with us as it was necessary. The hotel is close to all lot of food options but i don’t recommend their snack bar. I understand it’s Downtown Chicago but $3 foot 1 can of soda I thought was steep. Bring your own snacks if possible. If I had to I’d stay there again but as we were just working nearby and not taking advantage of everything downtown we drove farther and stayed in Crest Wood for the next night stay.

we made the most of our Saturday night stay for the Museum of Science's Wine Festival event! Checked in at 3 with ease and settled in our room with a street view!! Total Chi-town vibes all the way and although we claim to be suburbanites we know Hyde park very well!! Had a great staff that accompanied all of our needs and the morning food after a long night of sipping vino and having adult fun made it east to get ready for some city views!!! We will be back next time around the museum bend and we recommend this hotel for anyone that wants close proximity to Hyde park for less than $300 a night!

Great hotel if you’re looking to stay short term near the city. You’re about 10-15 minutes (expect 20 for traffic). There is also parking in a designated lot.

The rooms are great. Looks very clean.
Breakfast was also pretty great what I do like the most is that they do offer hot drinks at 24 hours so you can always grab a coffee whenever

The only issue is ,
- check in early? You have to pay additional $50USD.
- receptionist could smile or be a bit easier to talk to

This hotel definitely is not worth the money!!! The halls stink and need an over haul. | Initially, I was checked into room that did not have a working television. My room was changed to a room with a televisions were several of the channels do not have sound. When we attempted to take showers we discovered that there is not any hot water. When we notified the front desk that we did not have hot water in our room we were told to let the water run and hot water should eventually get to our room in 15 to 20 minutes. When we let the water run for over an hour and told the front desk that we still did not have hot water, we were transferred to the manager. When we requested an early check out and refund to find a habitable room (with hot water), we were told no and that the water would eventually make it to our room. When we advised that we expected a habitable room with hot water, the manager told us that we would not get a refund and hung up on us. The water has been running for over two hours and we still do not have hot water. When we asked the front desk to change us to a room with hot water, we were told that they could not guarantee that any of the rooms have hot water.|||

I was very impressed with the kindness and alertness of the staff but most impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel and room! I have stayed in many “luxury” hotels and this hotel well exceeded my expectations compared to those luxury hotels. Highly recommended, parking is included and 15 minute drive from anything we wanted to get to.

Location is great to the city.
The free breakfast was delicious & the parking garage worked out for us tremendously. The price was good, too.

The down side: Very sub-par air conditioning. We had our room moved because our first room’s barely worked, come to find out the same was true about the second room. Another issue was that the elevator to the parking garage says “hours 6am - 9pm” but it would never work past 4pm. Kind of frustrating.

Hot Breakfast, free Parking Pass, free Hot Drinks 24 hours. A good location, we could walk to 53rd street where there's shopping and restaurants; Valois has really great food and good prices. We wanted a Lakefront room, but they were all taken so our room was by the street; but we really couldn't hear the cars passing.
It was low water pressure in the shower. A guest had their BIG dog in the dining area while they/we were eating. If a pass guest is missing a sock, it was in the closet when we checked in.

My overall stay was great. Good location and great breakfast 🥞 I will visit this hotel again on my next vacation to Chicago. The front desk staff were amazing and super friendly. I have no complaints.
