Overall a very positive experience.

The Room: Most importantly the room was very clean when we arrived. We opted for daily room service and the cleaning staff did a great job every day. The beds were very comfortable. Our room had a mini fridge which was nice to keep some drinks and leftovers in the room. A bit of a bummer there was no microwave or anything to heat food up but not a real problem. My only real complaint with the room is the sliding bathroom door that doesn't fully close. When the door was "fully shut" there was a gap at least an inch wide that allowed you to see into the bathroom from out in the room.

Restaurants: The coffee/General shop was a great option and I stopped by there several times during my stay for a sandwich, coffee, or other drink. The breakfast buffet was a bit expensive for hotel breakfast ($30 per person) but the food was tasty and had a surprising number of options.

Fitness: The hotel gym had plenty of cardio machines (treadmill, bike, elliptical) that were all high quality. Their are dumbbells and resistance machines however they are much more limited and finding space to use the dumbbells can be a challenge even if only 2 or 3 other people are using that side of the room.

Couldn’t have asked for better service or better price for my families trip to Chicago. We had only ever gone to New York on vacation before so the hotel rate seemed super cheap in comparison. The hotel is very clean, it’s huge, you can tell it’s new, and the staff were amazing. Free waters, fast check in and out, really understanding. Everything a tourist needs is close by and walking distance. It’s right by a bus stop if you want to use the public transportation. The only bad thing was we got a dirty sheet one night but it was quickly changed and it never happened again. Mistakes happen it’s understandable. It had a great view even though we paid for the basic room and the bathrooms were beautiful. Truly amazing experience and I can’t wait to go back again soon.

I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Chicago for a business trip, spanning four days and three nights. Overall, my experience was quite positive. The room was clean and well-maintained, which is always a priority for me when traveling. The service was great, with staff being attentive and helpful throughout my stay.
One unique aspect of the hotel is that you have to get water from the front desk. This was a bit of a hassle, as it's the first time I've encountered this policy at a hotel. It's something to be aware of if you prefer having water readily available in your room.
While the hotel does not offer breakfast, this wasn't an issue for me as my conference provided meals. However, it's good to note for future stays or for those who might be expecting breakfast options.
The location of the Hyatt Regency Chicago is fantastic. It's within walking distance to Millennium Park and the iconic Cloud Gate sculpture, commonly known as "The Bean". Additionally, the hotel is situated right by the Chicago River, where you can enjoy the river cruise.
The hotel itself is the largest in downtown Chicago, offering more than 2,000 guest rooms and suites. It provides easy access to many of the city's top attractions, including Navy Pier, the Magnificent Mile, and the Chicago Riverwalk. The hotel also has a variety of dining options, such as the American Craft Kitchen & Bar and Stetsons Modern Steak + Sushi.
Overall, my stay at the Hyatt Regency Chicago was pleasant and convenient for my business needs. Despite a few minor inconveniences, I would recommend this hotel for its excellent service, cleanliness, and prime location.

Probably the best major city center business hotel in America. Unbelievably easy to figure out and get a vibe for in a perfect location in town. Warm welcome from Raquel at check-in and a great club access room. Fast elevators with almost no wait. Huge fitness center. $25 dining credit unique to property. Inspiring airy lobby with great bar and ground floor breakfast buffet. Room clean and quiet and no frills. Great service. No ripoffs. Water available and lounge was well stocked and clean. Blown away!

We are Globalist members with Hyatt and we have stayed at the Hyatt Regency several times. My wife stayed at the hotel this past January and had issues with the check out process because I wasn't at the hotel with her, they were refusing to honor our membership and were going to charge her the full price of the stay, which was booked on points. The issue was finally rectified after haggling with the staff, the manager finally stepped in and took care of the issue, however it resulted in my wife missing her train. Our next stay was on March 30th, and we assumed it was booked using a free reward night. When we checked in we informed the staff that we booked the reservation using a free night. We arrived very early and the room wasn't ready and they informed us they would text us when the room was ready, which they did. However, when we checked out, the staff told us about two small charges to the room, which we acknowledged. What they DID NOT TELL US, was that we were charged for the room and valet parking, both were supposed to be no charge, because we booked with a free night. We tried to rectify the issue with Hyatt customer service, with a manager, Ioanna, and she indicated because we checked out there was nothing they could do. I also talked with Grace the manager of the hotel and she also told us there was nothing they could do to rectify the issue. We will not recommend this hotel because of their deceptive practices and poor customer service at check in and check out. We have never been treated with such disrespect at any other Hyatt properties.

A top notch hotel but the uncharge was pricy. Buffet wasn't available. Staff was very helpful and cheery. Location was perfect was able to walk where we needed to go. Check in and check out was slower needs to have more training. Need to have a better understanding of features offered at check in also.

We loved the blankets and the bathroom was immaculate! The view was amazing and you could see Lake Michigan from our window. Our room came with a $25 credit towards surrounding restaurants or the hotel’s bar, we settled for the latter. Everything was clean and like new, the staff was very helpful and friendly. Reasonable price for all of the amenities, would stay again

Good sized room, great views, nice TV, kind reception staff. Generally speaking it is a very big hotel with nice seating areas on first floor, great location. |Be aware there is no room service but they have a shop on the ground floor which opens til late and has everything you need (caffeinated drink, snacks etc) with pleasant and helpful staff.
