Horrible experience from start to finish! The staff are not receptive at all, and they literally seem like they do not want to do their jobs. The breakfast was very below par. There are no labels for the food, and when I went, there was no staff to ask dietary questions to. The room itself was very nasty too. There was trash left right next to the trash can. The shower was dirty. The light near the bed was not working. The AC had visible dust built up in it. It is very clear that the rooms are not cleaned nor kept up with.
Finally, I left a pair of very expensive glasses in my room. I called the hotel the day I left to see if they found it. They kept giving me the run around saying someone will call me, but no one did. I kept calling and they tell me they did not find the glasses. This is a complete lie because I told them exactly where I left the glasses, so I have no idea how they did not find them. The only explanation I see is that they stole them. I would not recommend staying at this hotel especially given that the staff have poor ethics and customer service skills.

The location was great and the hotel looks fine from the outside, but inside was a different story. The room was DIRTY! We left our luggage in the car and only brought in what we needed for the night. There was hair in the bed, and I had to change the sheets myself. While the hotel is in a great area with easy access to local attractions and restaurants, the overall condition of the property was far below expectations. The rooms and common areas felt dated and worn, and cleanliness was clearly not a priority. For the Hyatt name, I expected much better. Wouldn’t stay again unless it’s renovated and standards are improved.
Disappointing Stay – Look Elsewhere

Check-in was a little choppy, but the front desk manager quickly smoothed it out, and from there, our stay was great. The property was very busy and we anticipated some noise however we experienced a nice quiet stay. Bed was comfy, and the room was spacious. However, the bathroom was a bit tight in space.

Check-out was smooth and seamless. Tiffany greeted us with a smile and informed us that we would receive our invoice via email.

As we sat and ate breakfast I noticed how calm, kind, and professionally Tiffany handled the rush of check-outs and even when customers were displeased with a billing issues Tiffany remained calm explained the billing process and options to resolve the issues. Tiffany never broke her smile or calm. Exceptional customer service was consistently demonstrated.

I expected more since this hotel is in Hoover. It definitely needs some updates. Look at the pics to see how old things look. The carpet in the room needs replacing too. The decor in the lobby is fall and I went in the spring smh. Upon entrance, the smell was not inviting. Lobby smelled like smoke. How bout using professional looking serving dishes for breakfast instead of old looking POTS? The elevator makes an annoying creaking sound. Front desk is 7.5-8/10. It's obvious that there's not much pride taken in the aesthetics of the property. Rooms are a good size and it has a refrigerator and microwave. The lamps are dusty. Good price but definitely needs more attention to spruce it up.

Place is okay but starting to show its age. Could use a refresh. Rooms are dated and in fact the mattress in my room was collapsed in one spot. Staff are friendly and personable. Check-in was easy. There is a continental breakfast. There's also a small bar. There's a fitness room but no pool. Overall it's okay.

We stayed here overnight on our roadtrip. We stay at Hyatt a lot. This hotel could use some updates. Overall the room was clean and comfortable. Staff was pleasant. Good for a last minute overnight stay. Fairly priced for what you get. Plenty of restaurants in the proximity.

Upon arriving and entering the lobby I was greeted by friendly and polite employees. Unfortunately the lobby bar and lounge area is attached to the reception desk. I was over come by cigarette smoke and load celebratory guests. The room we got thankfully did not have a smoke odor but it did have other issues. The hotel security door lock was damaged, the shower had missing or broken tile, and the tile was moldy. The shower head leaked and had poor or low pressure. The AC thermostat did not work and you could not turn the AC on. Carpet, walls and furniture had stains or marks.

Our third stay. This time with 2 other couples. Only thing slightly less than we hoped was the breakfast. Standard Hyatt Place offerings but somehow less. But we were all able to eat breakfast both mornings and it was fine.||Rooms and lobby still look almost new and staff was extremely friendly and willing to help.
