rooms were terrible shower leaked fridge leaked staff couldn't put me in contact with a manager had a beautiful view of a yellow dumpster. offered a discount so I booked the room just to be told they do no discounts after being told for 2 days I could talk to the manager. no washer and dryer avalible. I understand the remodeled but the rooms should look good before the false sense of security of the lobby. I would not recommend.

When you first walk in, it's beautiful and being remodeled. The rooms are a different story. They are dark. Mold was in the bathroom so I did not shower at this location. Very loud guests. TVs are extremely small for a big room that I was in. Breakfast consisted of granola bars, muffins, and cold coffee.
Check was smooth and great so was check out. That is literally the only plus about this hotel.

***AVOID THIS HOTEL***. The staff and management will continue to give the run around and tell you that the "manager is not there" and to call back the next day. I was told a refund would be applied to my CC the next day. 5 days later, no refund, so I called Wyndham Rewards Customer service. They called the hotel and told me that once again, there was no manager available that day but a manager would be there tomorrow and to call back next day for refund. I called next day and was told they would not be refunding me. No customer service was given and I was lied to on multiple occasions. Take the time to read reviews of local guides, they leave the most honest reviews and can help you avoid a bad experience along with your time and money. I called back to Wyndham Rewards CS and I am awaiting the results of my formal complaint. I will update.

UPDATE #2: 9/14/2024 Called hotel and asked for a manager. The gentleman on the phone asked for my confirmation number and proceeded to tell me that "there was nothing they could do and that the system did it automatically". I said that of course they can issue a refund at their discretion. I asked for his name and if he was a manager. He told me his name was "front desk" and that he was not a manager and there was not one there. This is actually comical now.

UPDATE #1 : I read the "Response from the owner" and It is as generic as they come. I wasn't providing you "feedback", I was voicing my need for a resolution. I did reach out to hotel "management" directly and was lied to on a 4 occasions. If you are the "owner", then own up to the mistakes and promises of your staff and don't thank me for, "sharing your thoughts with us."

UPDATE #3 : Still have not received a refund from this hotel. I will continue to update and leave my review up until this is rectified.

UPDATE #4 : I had to dispute with my CC company and they refunded me, NOT the hotel. This hotel will constantly give you excuses for bad service and being lied to. Save yourself the trouble and find a better hotel just about anywhere in the area.

I wish they didn't change ownership and management from EconoLodge. The "breakfast" is a small size packaged muffin. There isn't any plastic silverware, please don't forget your own. The indoor pool is always "being serviced" Bring EconoLdge and their management back!!

Great stay and wonderful staff. They were in the middle of renovations and still the place was very clean.

Our room looked nothing like the pictures show! I think the carpet was at least 20 years old and was really dirty and nasty. The whole motel is suppose to be non-smoking but there were cigarette burns on the carpet and the furniture. The bathroom looked like it came from a submarine from the 1940s! I wouldn't go back there if they PAID me!

The staff were wonderful!!! They were so kind!
But the place was a dump. It was dirty.... filthy. Our feet were black on the bottom from walking barefoot for an hour in our room! The shower had mold. There were fake nails in the pool? And green algae water around it! And the sheets were dirty! The towels had stains.... It was terrible. We will probably never trust the Howard Johnson name again... We booked it because it was Wyndham ... and we trust that name... not anymore. Whoever they hired to take the photos worked some magic! Because that is NOT how the property looks in real life. We were duped. We paid $25 for a rollaway bed that had so many stains I didn't even let my kid sleep on it..... *insert barf emoji.

We booked weeks in advance to see the eclipse at $90 a room. We called a week in advance to confirm our reservation would be honored as they stopped working with Choice. We were told by the front desk that our reservation would be honored. When we got there, they did not have a reservation for us. They told us we should have rebooked, despite the person on the phone confirming we had a reservation. They told us rooms were now $400. I am VERY suspicious that they knew they booked the room at a low rate before they realized the eclipse was happening, and then they screwed people out of reservations and raised the prices significantly.
