Unfortunately the event we were attending was cancelled last minute. The Hotel was extremely accommodating and helped to cancel the room. Thank you for making this process easy, and I look forward to staying here on my next visit to Berkeley!

If you're looking for an inexpensive motel in Berkeley, this is it! The manager was great. The room had everything I needed. It is close to University of California Berkeley and the Graduate Theological Union, which was where I needed to go. The only drawback, and this isn't the fault of the motel, is that the area doesn't seem very safe. I heard sirens each of the two evenings I was there.

Clean room, good location, 10 min walk to BART, and free parking. Walls are a little thin but at this price point you can't beat it. I'd stay here again the next time I'm in the area.

Called an hour after I left the room to tell them I left something behind and if I could have them hold it. They told me they’d call me back in 30 min. never called. Called 2 hours later. They said they call me back. No call. Called them again. They said they’re looking into it they’d call me tomw morning. Called them again the next night they said well look into it.

Pretty much they kept my stuff and just kept saying oh. The cleaning crew will call you back. Oh. The manager will call you back. Oh no one’s at the front desk available to look through the lost and found. No one called me back. And I know I left it there.

They just kept the stuff.

I've stayed at a lot of budget hotels in my day, so I'm used to being ignored, but I was pleasantly surprised at the service here. The manager saw we had small children and went out of his way to move us to a bigger room at no charge. He even offered to help with our luggage, which was a first! Cleaning staff were similarly kind and friendly. It is still a budget hotel, so don't expect the Ritz, but the rooms are clean and have been updated/painted recently, the AC and wifi work great, and it's a safe and convenient location. Plus you can't beat the price. I've never written a hotel review before, but I genuinely want this place to succeed. Good luck guys, and thanks for the great stay!

We rented this room simply for a place to rest our heads overnight and get a few hours of sleep. We are lucky if we got even a few hours. The room next to us played loud music throughout the night.

Staff did call the room next door, I didn’t have to specific which room so I’m assuming I was not the only complaint.

Around 1:30am we were offered a different room which was much more peaceful.

Good basic hotel. Berkeley is super expensive, so this is one of the lowest cost options. The neighborhood is walkable and safe, and it’s about 10-15 minutes away from the BART station.

If you happen to get room 123, here are a few tips.
1. Turn on the bathroom light immediately. It flickers for about 45 minutes before it becomes steady. DON'T TURN IT OFF UNTIL YOU ARE READY TO CHECK OUT.
2. Don't look at the porch light. It strobes. Forever.
3. If you have an SUV, you're gonna have a hard time parking. That's with any unit you rent. But don't park in that right corner 2 spaces to the right of the vending and ice machine.
4. The lever to the shower is a little tricky to get it to the right temp. It turns on, then off, then on again leaving you puzzled as to where hot and cold REALLY is. Just know you're going to be in there at least 5 minutes before you can actually take a shower.
5. Don't panic! No one is trying to open your door. That's next door unit 122. The doors and walls are kinda thin.

Other than that we slept on to top the blankets in our sweats.

Decent place to crash, though. Just hit that light in the bathroom of room 123 immediately!
