Hotel Vendome is just a block or so away from Whiskey Row and all it's restaurants, shops, galleries, and bars. So perfect location to walk and enjoy! Our room was quite small but clean. They accomodated us with a ground floor room which was greatly appreciated. The hotel's bar was closed, and we were told they needed training to reopen. The hotel has a guest pantry which has supplies for coffee and tea there is also an ice machine which was nice. There are no refrigerators in the rooms and the 2 in the guest pantry both were labeled as out of order. There were a couple of areas within the hotel, the veranda for example, that were closed off to guests at the time we were there, not sure why. Overall, we had a nice stay.

Vintage place, very nice inside. Working room bells are fun! Room 15 is next to the dumpster which gets picked up everyday at 6:30 AM with a lot of accompanying noise. Avoid that room if you think I that will cause you issues.

The building is from 1917 and is on the National Historic Places list thing. The inside and rooms are very nice! Given that, I would expect the owners to take better care of the exterior. Extreme paint pealing and disrepair are very evident in the front. These are cheap repairs that don’t take much effort to help preserve our nations history. Don’t bring young children if they like to eat paint ;-).

Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

What a great little historic hotel! Location is perfect - we walked everywhere. The rate is fair. The room was clean and had a big king bed. The building itself is really neat. The owner was very nice when we checked in and checked out. Great spot, highly recommend for a casual, clean, and safe place to rest your head for a night.

Loved the atmosphere and charm. We stayed in Abby's room and enjoyed the ambiance and learning about all the other people who left stories behind. We even ran into another couple who always stay in that room. The mix of modern and antique is done very well, very classy. Really enjoyed the experience. Bed was comfortable, staff was very friendly and we had a great time. Also the location is great if you want to enjoy wandering around the square.

This is a very run down property. At the porch roof and ceiling shows a significant amount of rot including holes in the eaves and boards that detached at one end from the ceiling. ||The window sills in my room also showed serious dry rot. I had to open the window to cool the room because the air conditioning was "turned off for the season". This visit was in in mid-April 2025.||There is no security for the property. The front desk closes at 5:00 PM. The hotel sent me an email with the front door code, my room number, and said that the room would be unlocked with the key inside.||It's hard to tell how many people have had access to the front door code, but someone could easily enter, try door handles, find an open room, and wait inside.||Rooms are tight; the furniture is old yard sale vintage. Mine had a side table, a chipped painted desk, a chipped painted kitchen chair, and a head board that did not belong to the bed.||There is no place for folding clothes. One could put them on a shelf in the closet, however a sign on the door says that condensation from air condition pipes my drip on anything in the closet. Not a problem on this trip since the A/C was not working.||Housekeeping left hair from a previous guest on the bathroom vanity, and there were smudges on the mirror.||The bathroom was probably last updated in the 1960's from the decor. There is a claw foot tub with a shower. Entry and exiting are tricky at best. The shower curtain did not close all the way. That resulted in water leaking out and causing damage to the walls around the tub.||Originally there were radiators to heat the rooms. These had been replaced with wall mounted electric space heaters, which I would not want to leave running when out of the room.||There were rust marks on the carpet and a hole in the floor where the radiators had sat. Some were used as table bases on the front porch. Sort of a college apartment approach to decorating.||The furniture in the lobby was equally tired. There were two wing chairs with torn cushions from long hard use. There was also a settee with crushed cushions from years of use.||I bumped into the owner at check out. Asking about my stay, I politely brought this to his attention. His reply was that they were working on a plan to renovate the property. It will require a lot of time and money to bring the Vendome back to what it could and should be. Hid did comp one night, however.||This could be a terrific property, but it has been allowed to run down a long, long way.

If you love supporting businesses that are locally owned and operated, then this is the place for you. It is just a short walking distance from the Prescott Courthouse, which is where so many local restaurants and shops are located.

They recently upgraded all of their rooms with a modern heating system where each room controls their own thermostat.

I also had some special requests in terms of check-in time, and they were more than accommodating. I know that I chain hotel would have never made those accommodations.

The bed and pillows were wonderful, and I slept like a baby. I liked it so much, I booked it again for next week.

A block from the courthouse and Whiskey Row. We stayed in room number 17. Huge ceiling, solid bed and a clawfoot tub. Each time I stay in a town, I search out a historic hotel and I was not disappointed by the Vendome.
