I give it two stars because it is listed as a 'two star' hotel, not to throw shade.

Many people staying here are from PATH right down the street.

From what I can tell it's equally as nice as the PATH on Madison and an upgrade in surroundings.

I know some good people here.

If you're looking for a quality 2 star with a great view of the Hollywood sign, if you can get one of those rooms, this is your place!!

Oh, and just so you know, VERY. STEEP. DRIVEWAY.

Quiet and peaceful. The pool is closed and there is no laundry room for the guests. Clean linen if requested. Polite and friendly staff. The suite I was in had lots of space and separated the living and sleeping areas with a door.

The staff is terrific, friendly and helpful. The hotel is not what we expected from the 3 star rating. The location is under a freeway. It is long term residence for the barely housed. Support services for a high need population are available in the parking lot. It serves more as a shelter than a holiday hotel. We needed to call security on more than one occasion as there were ongoing, escalating hostile encounters in the walkway outside our door. We felt unsafe as we were separated by a window of glass from the conflict. Many of the residents showed apparent evidence of drug use. It did not feel safe to walk in the community around the hotel. Staff was helpful in making a refund happen so we could relocate.

my friend and i were traveling on a budget and decided to book a room at this "hotel". never again. first of all, their website link through google leads you to an online pharmacy website for viagra... there seems to be no sort of upper management that runs this place. there was no room service, so we were stuck using the same towels and linens for our entire week long stay. there are no locked safes inside the hotel rooms so you cannot lock any valuables that you may have with you and trust me, you'd want to lock them up! the screen door from our room out to our balcony was torn so we couldn't even keep that open to enjoy the nice fresh air. we found dog food on our floor as soon as we stepped into our hotel room. there was a Uhaul truck in the parking lot the entire time we were staying at the hotel as if someone was living there. i understand you gotta do what you gotta do, but if you're looking for a beautiful, dreamy, LA experience you will not find it at this hotel. you're better off spending a couple extra bucks and staying elsewhere.

Absolute worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Could have found a Super 8 for cheaper and cleaner than this place. The bathroom was covered in mold, the mattress was as stiff as a plywood box, and the room smelled dirty. All these reviews are 100% correct. Maybe they have some secret stage room they used to take those pictures, maybe they stole them from a different hotel or maybe they were actually decent a couple decades ago I don’t know. All I can tell is after reading these reviews I was actually glad they didn’t come in to make the bed or replenish the towels because there’s no telling what they would’ve leafed through to find in our luggage. If you value your safety and any sense of clean environment please avoid at all cost!

Please do yourself a favor and book elsewhere. This hotel is by far one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at. From the get go homeless people plagued the entrance even though it’s in a little top of the hill. I checked in at 6pm and the room was still not ready as they were cleaning the room. Spent about 40 min waiting. Upon getting my room I noticed that the moldings from the room to the bathroom was broken with little debris all over the place. Upon entering the bathroom I noticed the edge had mold and not just a bit but a lot. To top it all off there was no privacy as our curtains did not close fully leaving us to be seen from the outside in(there were a couple of suspicious people on skateboards making noise around the hotel smoking). Went to the lobby to ask for another room and could not accommodate. Did not stay to obvious health and safety concerns and had to book another hotel. To make matters worse they will not refund for this request. Complete joke of a place.

My experience here was awful. We were absolutely horrified when we arrived! Rooms smell dusty. Very old and not maintained or loved. How come the sink was not draining? And the fan in the bathroom was not working? The floor is very dirty, it looks like they didn't even clean the floor.... This is definitely the worst hotel that I ever stayed in my life. If I could give ZERO stars or even a negative score I would...unfortunately this doesn't give the option to do so.

I can't even give Silver Lake LA hotel 1 star! Nasty, dirty and pretty much horrible! No AC in my 1st room, slimy floor, elevator is questionable @ best and be prepared for very sad number of homeless people who live there! All I can say is if you go, arrive early so you have time to go find another hotel. Which is what I did.
