I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights in December 2024 and was pleased with the hotel.

The room and bathroom were very clean - the check-in process was very easy and quick.

I had a rental car that I parked in the lot each of the nights and felt safe that the car was there.

There are a lot of restaurants and other businesses around the immediate area and access to the interstate was perfect.

I'd have no problem staying here again or recommending it to others.

I booked this hotel because of its location, considering the fact that El Cerrito is a lot quieter compared to Oakland or San Fran, and it's a bit more cost effective to stay up that way as well. Top notch location also -- there's a fantastic restaurant across the street from the hotel and it's only a block or so away from a BART station. My room was nice, maintained wonderfully over the course of the 5 days I stayed there, and super clean. Super happy with my stay!

Rooms clean at the least, pillows lumpy and no mini fridge. Front desk day staff rude, unhelpful and disrespectful. Would not recommend.

Positive: location convenient to get BART across street, hop on freeway, or get on San Pablo to get to Berkeley. Wifi was good, big screen TV was good. Nice mini living room. heating, cooling, two sets shades (sunblock kind and light filtering) excellent. Negative: Room 213: lots of LOUD water noise predawn in this room, water main must be located in wall or somethink. Desk nice but surface bubbled up and some holes in it. Door doesn't close on it's own, actually left open by accident a number of times. Negative: ""

Amazing stay at this hotel. Family owned, clean, and close to lots of great food and other attractions. Also, the BART stop is close for easy access to SF.

Very clean place, the beds were comfortable and the staff were helpful when I had an issue checking in with my apple card. Best part about this hotel is how close it is to BART and the freeway. The only negative is they give the bare minimum amount of shampoo in little foil packets. I would definitely stay here again!

The price was reasonable and the appearance was nice but those were probably the best things about the hotel. Overall I did not enjoy my stay. With check-in, I did not feel welcomed; instead, I felt like I was a bother to the clerk. He was sleeping in the back office when I arrived and I think that’s why he didn’t come across as friendly (I woke him up at midnight). One of the card keys didn’t work so when I asked him to re-code it he said it worked; it didn’t but it was too much trouble to force the issue. The floor in the room had stuff stuck to the carpet that should have been cleaned. The iron didn’t work properly and I couldn’t even adjust the heat because the dial was broken. The ironing board was bent. The iron was cabled to the board so I had to drag everything to the bathroom to put water. The toilet leaked (sound). The shower curtain was too long and wouldn’t close properly so I had be careful not to slip in the shower and clean the water on the floor because of the curtain. The hair dryer didn’t work and literally started smoking when turned on. The pillows were uncomfortable. The dresser drawers were sticky and wouldn’t close properly.

Sorry for all the negativity but it was not a good experience.
