This hotel is built around a great concept: A late 19th century Victorian mansion that has been craftily restored and renovated and is connected to a somewhat average and mainstream hotel building. This isn’t so much a bad thing but I think it’s a bit of a misleading thing to see all of the incredible photographs of the signature building and later realize that this is not the experience that 90% of the lodgers will experience other than the scrumptious breakfast (more on that later) that all of the guests will get to experience. ||The rooms that most guests will stay in are fairly mainstream. Again, not a slam on the hotel but definitely a bit misleading. Our room had a large mark on the wall but all in all was average and quiet. The wall ac unit is loud but it definitely keeps the room cool. They were well-appointed and had about everything you need for a visit. ||The staff here really take pride in their work and are extremely helpful offering up suggestions for dining as well as helpful in every way they can. We were greeted promptly and treated extremely well. The breakfast was wonderful and most importantly it was served in the main house, the Victorian home that IS the Hotel Finial. Make sure to look around the space and find a nice view. The restoration of the building is incredible and if I were near the area and needing a special place for an event, this would be a perfect place to host it. ||All in all our stay was acceptable and I would recommend it as a place to stay if in the area. Just important to know that the spaces you are booking are in an attached building unless you specifically look into the suites. Make sure to look carefully and fully understand what you are booking. I felt the price for the non-mansion homes was a bit on the pricey side but the staff and the breakfast helped make it worthwhile.

Was excited to stay in what looked like an historic home with a famous breakfast buffet (100 dishes in Alabama) but disappointed to find a very average buffet in what turned out to be our only access to the historic home. It was also very off putting to have to circle a high iron fence with gates to try to figure out how to get in the parking lot. Made me question the safety of Anniston.|The room was okay but could use a smart TV, new furniture and bedding, but the bathroom was decent. Handicapped access is limited.

I have been staying at hotel finial once a year for 7 years and it has been great! Clean rooms, safe gated parking and excellent breakfast! Highly recommend. The hotel is located in a very beautiful building that has a grand piano in the dining room

Anniston was recommend by the tourist center staff. We enjoyed our stay and attentiveness of staff. Despite being new our TV didn’t work so the owner upgraded our room. We partook in good conversation with others having a nightcap at the bar. Will stay again in the area.

Neat place we stayed in the cottage. Not to expensive and something different than the big chain hotels. Friendly staff, clean facility, and a bar on site . I'd definitely go back.

Stayed there for 2 nights, Owner and staff were super friendly. Beautiful Hotel and rooms . Breakfast was great especially the bacon , NOT your usual thin cheap kind 😊 also need to mention the toilet paper, NOT your usual thin one ply kind 👏 met some wonderful people at the bar .

What an amazing property. Absolutely wonderful staff and my favorite place to stay when in town. This place has the best bacon for breakfast!!!!!! Will return again and again. Highly recommended

My husband and I stayed here one night after attending a concert at the Performing Arts Center. We enjoyed the spacious room and comfortable bed. However, it is in a very busy area of town, and I woke around 2 am. due to lifesaver helicopter at the nearby hospital.
