The staff was excellent. We were a women’s travel group staying for the Rose Parade.
The front desk, bar and restaurant staff all went out of their way to make us feel welcome and have a great stay. Lily, our point of contact, was terrific. She even gave me her personal cell phone number in case I needed anything while she was off.
The location was great for the parade but it was the staff that made our stay fantastic!

I stayed for a week here while volunteering at the Pasadena shelter. The staff is amazing. The front desk, especially Trisha, engineer that helped with the television, housekeeping staff, Rosie in the restaurant, the nice gentleman in Agents. The meals were very good. They have the best french fries that come with a quality hamburger. The best item on the menu is the salmon. It comes on a bed of crema sauce with mesquite and peanuts with a grilled lemon on the side. ?

We had our company holiday party here and their event halls are very spacious. I stayed at this hotel just for the night and it was good so far.

Lobby has a modern ambiance with old school film pieces which gives out old hollywood look. The room fragrance may be strong for those who have sensitive noses but nothing major.

They do have a bar that opens at 3pm called Agents Only and breakfast at the Lyric which are both located inside the hotel.

My room was good for a standard king bed. Lots of storage, mini fridge, complementary coffee, and one bottle water. The AC however is placed where the cool air does not circulate the room, and it does get noisy whenever it restarts to bring back the set temperature. Bathroom is okay for me. I am not a fan of how the shower, It is giving standard gym shower. Had to place two towels on the ground to prevent the water from spreading out further all over the bathroom floor.

They have a mini convenience/souvenir store for guest to for those last minute needs like toiletries.

Stayed over New Year and this is the second worst hotel I've stayed at.

The hotel is located behind the convention center and can be accessed via three narrow entrances. It does not offer valet parking or bell service. Parking is in the convention center parking next door.

Main lobby seemed quite dim, and some of the Christmas Poinsettias were well past their best. Checked in with no mention of Marriott status, or offer of breakfast/points, etc. There is a self-service store but most items were very expensive.

We had two rooms both on the second floor. On first glance the rooms seemed ok - sheets were clean, surfaces were dusted, etc. Looking closer they could really do with a deep clean. Door frames and baseboards we're filthy, carpets and drapes were stained and the lamp shades were bashed. The windows and patio door looked like it hadn't been clean in a long time. There was a smear on the window that was there for our entire stay. There also isn't central AC, but noisy window units. In one room there was a control on the wall but it did nothing.

Housekeeping was also inconsistent - one day they removed the soap from the bathroom with replacing, the next day didn't leave hand towels.

I recently stayed at Hotel Dena in Pasadena, and overall, it was a good experience. The check-in process was smooth and welcoming; the host was very friendly and acknowledged my Marriott status, which was a nice touch.

I stayed in a suite, which was spacious but had some drawbacks. The room was quite drafty, and a lot of street noise made its way in, making it a bit difficult to relax fully.

The biggest issue during our stay was the parking situation. There was a large event at the adjacent Convention Center, and there was no dedicated entrance for hotel guests. This meant we had to wait in the same heavy traffic as event attendees, which was frustrating and inconvenient. For a hotel connected to the Convention Center, I expected better accommodations for guests to enter and exit easily.

Despite these issues, the hotel has potential, and the staff’s hospitality was a highlight. With some improvements to noise insulation and parking arrangements, the experience could be much better.

The hotel itself is beautiful, the lobby is beautiful, the drive up entrance is beautiful, the staff is nice. My only complaint is the bed and pillows are VERY uncomfortable. The bedding is very thin and the pillows instantly go flat when your head touches them. It’s like when you order a meal and the presentation is nice but the taste is not great.

It’s a very old building. The rooms do not have HVAC so they have an individual heating/ac unit in each room that is loud and a AC unit in the garage/elevator waiting areas that doesn’t work very well. I don’t think there is AC or heating in the elevators either. Ceilings are low and except for loft rooms but they are not much better than the regular rooms. The fridge is empty and works great tho. Bathrooms and bathtub are small. Carpet has stains all over and room smells like rotten onions. They get a lot of traffic from conventions and airlines so there is no housekeeping service, too many rooms on each floor and too few cleaners. Breakfast service is slow and they don’t serve in order rather by if you are a regular or not. Front desk service is great but could give out wrong info from time to time. Garage has clearance for 6’6” only and lower in some areas. Went to open my trunk for my Tesla Y and hit some pipes. Great Cordova cafe next door. Bar is fun according to other guests. Overall would not stay here again but maybe some people would not mind.

Nicely maintained hotel right next to the convention center. The staff is very friendly and the building is attractive, comfortable, and clean. There's a friendly bar off the lobby where there's a happy hour with good snacks! If you're at a convention center event, this is perfect.
