For travelers on a affordable budget, this Chicago hotel is excellent. Since all of the main attractions are close by, the hotel is at a good location. It's within walking distance from all major tourist spots . It's a large room. The front desk staff is really helpful, and the view is excellent. The space is tidy. Hygienic conditions are kept up. Additionally, this hotel has excellent access to the airport's Metro Blue Line route.

Faucet in room randomly would not turn off. Shower in bathroom was missing conditioner.

Room was clean enough but I forgot something in the room and I contacted the Hotel Blake front desk and the worker was very rude. #1: the hotel did not reach out to me about my missing object. #2: the hotel staff is extremely cryptic about whether or not my object was safely retrieved or utterly lost. The first time I called the day that I had checked out, the worker was a) very rude b) did not bother to check the lost and found and c) told me to just fill out some form on this random website and rapidly hung up on me. I called again the next morning and a different worker picked up, who upon hearing that I already filled out that form but received no response from Hotel Blake even though it had been 48 hrs after my stay, offered to direct me to housekeeping. It unprofessionally went straight to the voicemail inbox of the housekeeping manager even though it was within working hours (around 11 AM). I left
a voicemail requesting that housekeeping locate my item and please INFORM me with a call back that if is safe or if it is lost. It has been 32 hours. NO RESPONSE. This hotel does not understand its customers, nor does it respond to reasonable requests in a timely manner. Customers cannot trust this hotel with their belongings or their staff to reliably and helpfully aid customers who are stressed about losing sentimental items.

Really helpful staff, very friendly. I felt welcomed all throughout my stay. The room was much nicer than I expected for the price. We visited Chicago in February and searched for budget accommodations and were pleasantly surprised with Hotel Blake. The room size was good. Lovely view through large windows. Bathroom good. Bed and pillows very comfy. And there was a microwave and fridge - bonus! Bottled water available on request and water in the lobby as well. It's got a cute boutique feel, and the bell person held on to our bags after checkout for no extra cost (we did tip). Walking distance to Union Station, museums, and a bunch of stuff. Next door to a pretty tasty breakfast place. I would definitely stay here again.

Amazing hotel! Very clean, staff were beyond friendly, especially the doorman Ron!! He gave my kids little toys during the check in process which was super cute. They offer water throughout the day and coffee in the morning both very delicious. Super close to trains and the L, or waking distance to most downtown attractions. Will definitely stay there again.

Great location and the staff was wonderful. Hotel was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Great place to stay for a good price. I would recommend the Blake hotel to anyone who visits Chicago and wants to save a little money. The staff went out of there way to make us feel welcome.

This time it was excellent because we were not hassled by the Bluegreen sales team. |Good lights, larger than most refrigerator with a separate freeze compartment. Adequate number of towels. Adequate 120v outlets. Clean room, good service, large room.

Hotel was so nice and chic! We had a great view of city and walkable to many things. The exercise room was nice, and ate breakfast nextdoor at the resteraunt. Michael in bell service was awesome! He was so helpful, told us resteraunts to go to and overall very friendly and making you feel at home!

We've stayed at this hotel multiple times. Love the quality of the rooms, it's location relative to downtown, the proximity to the Meli Cafe, the Chicago subway, Union Station, and, of course, the quality of the staff. Especially Xavier and Alex. Definitely will stay there again!
