Honeybear Cafe is easily one of the best breakfast spots I’ve ever been to! I loved that they offer a selection of natural teas from a local company—such a great touch. I had the honey milk ginger tea, and it was absolutely delicious. For my meal, I went with the chicken fried chicken skillet, and every bite was incredible. The fresh ingredients, especially the green peppers and onions, really stood out. And just when I thought it couldn’t get better, the cinnamon French toast was the perfect cherry on top—crispy, flavorful, and exactly how I like it. I truly enjoyed every part of this meal and can’t wait to come back!

Went for breakfast for my birthday, besties got up super early! Literally but it was worth it! My skillet was delicious had the carne asada, my other friend got the fried chicken one, that was really good ! Only thing I didn’t like was my friends choice of the tres leches French toast! Way to dry, and thick like it was just bread , it’s a looker! Maybe actually make it more moist . Just saying ! Besides that service was great ! I’ll definitely be back

The French toast was amazing. I would recommend trying out this restaurant but I would suggest coming in on a weekday when it’s less crowded and also make a reservation to be on the safe side. I didn’t enjoy the restaurant being so crowded but even though the restaurant was crowded the waitress was very professional and detail orientated. I didn’t like that our table was by the front door. It was cold from people coming in and out. Now down to the food my daughter enjoyed her food as well as her friend. I really like my french toast even though I could hardly finish it I took it home. The New York Croissant wasn’t bad but I didn’t like my meat it was thinly sliced in the croissant I imagine for the ribeye to be cut up in cubes but I could be wrong it’s been years since I ate red meat. The croissant wasn’t bad it could have just been me and my taste buds thrown off from me not really eating red meat. I enjoyed my hash browns. Overall I would rate this place 4 out of 5 and I definitely will be back to try other options probably vegetarian. I definitely would recommend trying this restaurant it’s lovely.

I found this restaurant when we first moved to Chicago a few months ago. The food is absolutely amazing! Looks and tastes SCRUMPTIOUS! The staff is also extremely courteous (although you may have to wait outside to get in).

Also the vibe w/ the decor of the actual building and dining space is absolutely a 10/10. Really beautiful and eccentric artwork on the walls and throughout the restaurant. You all know I’m an artistic person so I had to check out the huge TURQUOISE colored building named Honey Bear!

It was well worth every penny. I come here as often as I can with my children. Will probably go for my bday next week.😁

I traveled to Chicago for my daughter’s bday and this place was amazing. We went back 2 days in a row because the food was so delicious. The shrimp and grits is a must try. The skirt steak was cooked to perfection.

We went here because all the hype. But I think its really crowded everyone it’s squeezed lol. (Super busy place too)
They food its good but pricey and you are not even comfortable while you are eating.
We tried the famous french toast, the eggs and steak. They are good but not worth the wait and be aware they don’t have parking space. So you need to find a parking spot in the street and pay for it. (Now you know) 😁

I would give this place more than 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bravo Bravo, standing ovation. On the website, it says to make reservations, but upon arriving, I was not checked in for those reservations I was just sat. Everyone was so friendly. After your sat you get these really good cheesecake bits. I was upset when I got full because I wanted to keep eating that's how good the food was. The place we so packed. I loved the decor. I feel the small tables are to small to fit everything that you order. I'm so glad that I was able to move to a booth because we were sat at a little table and all the food that we ordered would not have fit. The only negative, I would say, would be the restroom. There are only 2 stalls, one stall the door dose not close and lock, and the other stall that toilet did not flush. Other than that, eat the food, but use the bathroom somewhere else.
