We had a very nice experience staying here, and a big shout-out to Alina's huge help, who is the most friendly, kind staff that we have ever met at the front desk! The parking is very convenient and has two options to do, and the rate of the lower level is still very doable (walking distance and close to the property) especially in a the city. The $22/person (before tax) breakfast was not worthy to do though.

The location of this hotel is perfect. Everything is within walking distance, with great restaurants. The breakfast was good - bacon was excellent - but improvement is needed on the eggs! Maybe use real eggs! The room was small as was the bathroom. Felt like we were in London again! Water pressure was poor, and water would turn cold while showering. Staff was nice but had trouble understanding them. Towels were small. Beds were comfortable and good pillows.

It a conveniently placed hotel off the highway. Its about a half hour walk to the theaters which isn't horrible especially when you like to do the Chicago experience and just walk the city. The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. The rooms were perfect sized. The bathroom was on the small size but for 3 people it wasn't awful. I felt safe at this location and couldn't have been happier with the experience.

The good: This property is right in downtown, so it is very convenient for the arenas and other downtown activities. Also, I had a two room, two queen bed suite that was very clean and comfortable.

The opportunities: The staff was not very welcoming. They did not acknowledge my member status or call me by name. I did not feel like a valued guest. I felt like a burden. There were only two guests in line -- I don't know, maybe the desk reps were having a bad day. Also, parking is very expensive (which is to be expected I suppose for a downtown hotel). Even the lot that is adjacent to the hotel is $20 a night for parking. (Close to the hotel is $65 a night). Finally, the "buffet" in the morning is not worth $22 per person -- at all. The options were minimal and the food was only satisfactory.

All in all: I would only stay here again for the convenience of being close to a downtown venue. Otherwise, I will likely choose a Holiday Inn Express in the suburbs and drive into the city. The rooms are far cheaper, and the breakfast is included.

Everything was great. The room was comfortable. The air conditioning unit was perfect. The room was very clean. The bathroom was very clean. The towels were stocked very well. They did have where you could go downstairs and you could buy in our drinks or simple snacks.

This hotel has a great location for Amtrak travelers. It’s conveniently located a few blocks from Union Station, and the Clinton stop for Blue Line is across the street, so it’s easy to use public transportation to get around without a car. Willis Tower is also a walkable distance. The rooms were great, staff friendly. Breakfast is a little expensive, but we were wiling to pay for the convenience.

While the staff was nice and professional, the room's lack of a smart TV and its small size were a loss in points for me. I booked the room for a staycation, and it wasn't that relaxing, with spotty Wi-Fi and no TV entertainment. It was a good price point and location, though.

I enjoyed my stay at the Holiday Inn and found all the service workers to be kind and helpful. I had an issue connecting with the wifi but a tech person at the hotel was able to help. The room was clean but it is a bit small. The bathroom was also very small and felt crowded. The breakfast was not bad (I especially liked the potatoes), and it was included for 2 people a night, although we were three. To buy extra breakfast vouchers, you had to pay $22 which is way too much considering the breakfast was bare minimum food and just basic. House keeping services did miss out on us 2 days when we didn't have a sign out on the door, and they also came way too early like 8 to 9am before we had even left the hotel. There is also a lot of construction around the hotel, however it is in walking distance to the Willis (Sears) Tower and Clinton Station and the really beautiful Union Station are close by.
