I had an excellent experience during my recent stay at the Holiday Inn in Skokie. From check-in to check-out, everything was smooth, clean, and hassle-free. The room was spotless, well-maintained, and comfortable—exactly what you hope for when traveling.

The staff was incredibly accommodating, friendly, and professional, going out of their way to make sure everything was just right. Whether it was providing extra amenities or simply greeting guests with a smile, they truly delivered on hospitality.

Overall, a fantastic stay. Quiet, clean, and comfortable with great service. I would absolutely return and recommend this location to anyone looking for a reliable and pleasant hotel experience in the Skokie area.

I stayed at this hotel for almost three months, and it was by far the best IHG property I’ve experienced. From day one, the staff made me feel welcome—Gladys, Shameer, Nida, Owais, Nazneen, and the rest of the front desk team were always helpful and friendly. Special mention to Owais- the best front desk. The housekeeping staff was also amazing, always respectful and attentive to my needs, which made my long stay even better.

The hotel is clean, well-managed, and being able to use my IHG points for free nights was a great bonus. The only issue I had was with the pool—it was freezing at times, which made it hard to enjoy. Other than that, everything was perfect. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again!

Pros: the room was pretty clean. I was here for a conference, which was held at the hotel, so that was convenient. Free parking.

Cons: I was told that I could park at a door nearest my room, so when I brought my car around to unload my luggage, I could not open the door and had to walk further away, which was irritating as I had to make multiple trips. I brought this to the attention of the staff, and they said it should be open, and said they'd take care of it, but it remained to be dtysfunctioning the whole time. The drainage in the bathroom sink was slow. When I took a shower, I had room temperature water for about 2 minutes, and it was an "everything" shower - so I was in there for about 15 minutes - which was pretty unpleasant as someone with sensory sensitivities. I am non-binary and all the staff that I interacted with throughout my stay called me "ma'am," throughout the duration of my stay; I did not have the spoons to correct them; however, it would be great if staff did not assume people's gender identities. When I checked in, the staff checking in me noted that I was there for a conference, however, when I got back to my room after unloading, I realized they never mentioned where the conference was taking place. Free wifi if you're an IHG rewards member, however it is an unsecured network- so I did not use it. When the heater was not on it was FREEZING by the window, where I had my yoga mat setup next to.

This is a very minor detail because the hotel is very nice and the staff is super friendly, but the coffee served at breakfast is not good. It tastes sour (which research tells me means it should be brewed longer or sometimes it means the beans are stale?). We have stayed at this location 4 times in the last 2 months and the coffee, both decaf and regular, was bad.

Exceptional Stay at Holiday Inn Skokie

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Holiday Inn in Skokie, and I can confidently say it exceeded my expectations. Nida & Oasis have been so accommodating and gracious every time no matter what. From the moment I arrived, they were incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring every aspect of my stay was comfortable.

The rooms were impeccably clean, spacious, and well-equipped with all the amenities I needed. The beds were especially comfortable, offering a great night’s sleep after a long day. I also appreciated the attention to detail, such as fresh linens and a spotless bathroom.

The on-site restaurant was a highlight—delicious food and excellent service made for a perfect dining experience. Additionally, the hotel’s facilities, including the fitness center and pool, were well-maintained and convenient to use.

The location was ideal, offering easy access to local attractions and a variety of dining and shopping options. Whether traveling for business or leisure, this hotel is a fantastic choice.

I would highly recommend the Holiday Inn Skokie to anyone looking for a reliable and enjoyable stay. I’ll definitely be returning on my next visit to the area!

Front desk service was amazing. The host helped us find our room. The standard room was small with no window to the outside, but a very good value for the price. It was clean and beds were comfortable. It would have been nice to have more towels. There was a wide variety at the buffet breakfast. However, only 2 breakfasts came with the room, so we had to buy a third. The pool and hot tub were very nice with longer pool hours than advertised.

My recent stay at the Holiday Inn was wonderful, and I’m happy to share my experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the friendly front desk staff, including Gladys and Shameer, who were both incredibly helpful and efficient. Gladys made my check-in smooth and quick, and she was very kind to answer my questions about nearby dining options and amenities. Gladys even gave me a map of the area, which was thoughtful and made exploring much easier.

The room itself was a great surprise – spacious, very clean, and equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was cozy, and I especially appreciated the quiet atmosphere, which made it easy to relax after a long day. The bathroom was spotless, with plenty of fresh towels and quality toiletries. I could tell the hotel takes great pride in its upkeep.

Breakfast each morning was also fantastic. There was a great variety of options, including hot items, pastries, fresh fruit, and coffee. The staff in the breakfast area were quick to replenish anything that ran out and kept everything clean and organized, which made for a pleasant start to the day.

Another highlight of my stay was the hotel’s location. It was close to many restaurants, shopping centers, and local attractions, which made it convenient to explore the area without hassle. I also had the chance to use the fitness center, which was well-maintained and had everything I needed for a good workout.

Overall, my stay at the Holiday Inn was excellent, and I’m so grateful for the fantastic service provided by Gladys, Shameer, Nazneen, Nida, and the entire team. Their friendly and attentive attitude made all the difference, and I will choose this hotel again for future trips. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

The King Suite I booked for just over a week was dirty when I arrived and never really cleaned throughout my stay. The room was a King suite but only had a mini fridge and a microwave. No utensils, plates, cookware, negating the whole reason for booking a suite. There was 1 window that had a 10ft wall placed inches in front of it which blocked all light from getting in, which gave a prison cell like feeling. The walls were paper thin so you could hear everything happening in the adjacent rooms.

The only redeeming quality for this hotel was the staff, who were all lovely and hospitable.
