We have stayed here many times and have always had a great experience. The staff are friendly, helpful and accommodating. The rooms are nice and have good basics so you don't have to pack shampoo, conditioner, body wash or lotion. They have a coffee maker, microwave and small fridge which really makes it nice to store leftover food and make morning coffee in a keurig. Pool and hot tub are clean and there are plenty of places to sit outside and eat or visit or just watch kids swim. There have never been too many in the pool and other guests were nice.
We usually stay longer than a week.

Breakfast is an amazing spread of yummy. Good coffee.

The purpose of my visit was to have my family gathering with my daughter as she has just gave birth a baby girl, the location was just minutes from my daughter’s house which is so convenient to going back and forth. The quietness and the atmosphere is just perfect for rest. The staffs are friendly and patient and react promptly when requested. Except for the breakfasts which I personally think there are much rooms to improve. I think our overalls experience of the stays was above satisfactory.

Great staff and comfortable room. Very clean and tidy property with a nice outdoor space. We felt taken care of on all levels. Easy access to the canal trail from the hotel was a bonus. We will be back!

This place does NOT deserve a 4 star rating. The place is old and shows in many ways. The rooms have been updated, but poorly. Rusty bathtub, low water pressure. Very underwhelming parking/neighbor situation. 0 EV chargers. Insane elevator straight out of a horror movie. Solid two star place. Especially for Walnut Creek.

I have stayed at Embassy in the past, but tried Holiday Inn Express this time. I was very happy with the value, cleanliness, friendliness of staff and the breakfast they put out. I will definitely return when I get back to Walnut Creek and may start adding HIE hotels into my search as i travel for work Nationally.

The hotel location was great and having 2 small dogs we needed a pet friendly stay. The hotel was a bit outdated but our concierge, Thom was wonderful. He helped us and provided outstanding customer service. Thank you!

I’ve been in 4different hotels over the last 3 weeks for work; Embassy Suites in Austin TX, Marriott Walnut Creek, Holiday Inn Walnut Creek and had to move halfway through the trip Embassy Suites Walnut Creek.

The staff are great and happy to help with all your little needs. The look of the room is about as expected for a Holiday Inn but my room didnt smell very nice.

The first night I heard a very fine beeping every second and realized it’s an awful feature of the alarm clock. I unplugged the wretched thing because it sounds like a bomb was hidden in the room.

The second night there was an extremely loud, drunk group who were drinking in the lobby around 7pm and later in the courtyard until past 10pm. They were laughing and screaming at top volume and surely disturbing everyone. Thankfully the noise ended around 10:30.

On 10/16 the bathwater was cold even on the hottest setting running for several minutes. After an hour of waiting I called the front desk who was aware of the situation which is supposedly being worked on but no idea what time it would be fixed. Unacceptable especially after reading another reviewer complained about this 7 months ago and it’s not just my room. You could hear people try to run water periodically all night. At hour 2 i microwaved water to bird bath just to feel a little cleaner. I went to bed feeling uneasy and told myself it would probably be fixed by morning. 12+ hours later… still not fixed. I contacted my work and they arranged for new accommodations at Embassy which is infinitely better.

The entire stay the wifi was snail slow like 1-3 mbps when i tested it so I had to use cellular data. I saw a review 3 weeks ago complaining about the same and would have expected it to be fixed by now.

Breakfast is standard American. For being included in your stay it’s not bad and mostly variations on eggs, breakfast sausage/bacon, oatmeal, yogurt, and bread/muffins/pancakes.

Overall, less than acceptable stay
