The hotel itself is nice. Looks newer, or well taken care of for the most part besides the elevators which had dirty floors. The breakfast was delicious and we all enjoyed it. We appreciated the rotating menu. The breakfast staff was nice, although I was surprised they didn't wear hairnets. Plenty of free parking.

The reason for the 4 stars was that we noticed hairs on our bed when we arrived. I immediately went down to ask for someone to come and change it. It was the evening so the guy at the front desk said he didn't know if anyone was available . I said "Ok I'll change it myself then". He rolled his eyes and went to look for sheets. We did not receive a comforter. When we realized that only the thin sheet wouldn't be enough to keep us warm, we asked for another sheet. This time we got sheets that were rolled up. I was convinced they came out of the laundry with how it was given, so we just decided to use the one thin sheet, which didn't keep us very warm during the night.

There were hairs in our bathtub as well. Luckily I brought cleaner. However, all this cleaning I had to do and changing the sheets is not what I expected from a hotel with a cleanliness promise.

Finally (and not sure why I'm not rating this hotel less), the fan in the room rattles very loud noises throughout the night. It sounded like beans being shaken in a can and did wake me up several times. Annoying!

I lied, one last thing. The pool water is quite cold. If you're one who does not like colder water, you will not be able to enjoy it. Every person I saw go in was commenting on how cold it was.

I'm really hoping the hairs were found were from the cleaning staff and it just naturally coming off. Regardless, still gross.

First off. Housekeeping staff is TEN stars. Super nice, super helpful. I can't thank them enough (especially the lady in the pink blouse, whom I assume is the head of the dept. She's 15 stars!). Front desk and breakfast staff good. They alternate the breakfast options each morning, which makes it nice. Parking never a problem, and super easy from the expressway.

My only complaint is with fellow noisy guests, but that's not HEI's fault.

From the front desk coming and going the experience was excellent. The room was clean the bed comfortable and the bathroom well appointed the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The breakfast was exceptional with a helpful and friendly server. A great rest with a good send off

A huge storm system caused me to stop in the middle of a roadtrip for an unplanned night in Troy. I called from my car to make the reservation. Room was clean and comfortable. I appreciate that they have larger bottles of shampoo/conditioner/body wash/lotion that can be refilled, rather than the needlessly wasteful tiny plastic bottles. I had easy control of the room temp, and there were lots of tv stations available (thought the menu of stations available was confusing, as it isn't in any sort of order that I could discern...?) Randomly, I LOVED the lighting in the room!
Breakfast the next day was very good. Wide variety of choices, including options multiple choices for GF and vegetarians. I appreciated the "Market" offerings near the check-in, with everything from cold soda to basic pharmacy items to a variety of quick meal options. It's right off the interstate and shares a parking lot with Cracker Barrel. I would definitely stay here again, and recommend it to others.

The employees are the KINDEST people I have ever met. They are so sweet and make sure you have everything you need, overall I had a great experience. Suzie was exceptionally great and so kind. During breakfast, she was helping us with everything we needed.

Thanks for a great stay. The hotel was very clean. Rooms were spacious and clean. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was good as well. Very friendly service along with very fast. Would definitely stay here again.

After a long day's drive This location was a comfort. No complaints at all. Helpful staff, especially at breakfast when loose food we were taking with us for in the car was taken by an employee, put in a container with an added napkin. Besides being a clean facility, and not needing anything, the staff is what made our stay pleasant.

As soon as I walked in and approached the front desk, not only was I kindly greeted but the staff member was super nice and very accommodating. Guest rooms and bathrooms are super clean! Excellent for quick over night stay for a night or two!
