Overall it’s a clean hotel but other Holiday Inns outshine this one because most of them offer IHG members, at the very least a complimentary bottle of water at check in
. This one offered nothing.
At check in at most Holiday Inns , they thank you for being a Silver, Gold or platinum member , this one didn’t.
To me, if I am giving the Holiday Inn all my business, the least they all could do is let you know how much they appreciate your business. Many other hotels could be getting my hotel stays 2 and 3 times a week!
If the Florence AL staff is reading this… do better!

The breakfast was amazing! Best breakfast I've had from a hotel. The room was spacious and clean, but the tub was leaking. The walls were thin and our headboard vibrated from the music being so loud on another guest TV, but we called down to complain and the music was turned down after 30 minutes. Not a great night sleep but it was not the hotels fault.

My Husband is a contractor for the railroad and we have stayed at The Holiday Inn Express / Florence many times and for several weeks at a time . The staff here is always so helpful and friendly and go above and beyond . The ladies who work in the kitchen preparing the morning buffet are the sweetest . My husband and his crew leave earlier then breakfast is usually served but they always make sure there is food out for them and coffee which is so appreciated . They are currently in the process if remodeling and the rooms we have stayed in that have been remodeled are really nice . It is in a great locations with many stores and restaurants all around you .

Stayed two nights 5/31, 6/1/24. Hotel is being renovated but it feels dated. My room was renovated but they missed the details. The decor was typical "contemporary Holiday Inn" and it was fine. It had a good desk, a good seating area and was clean. Bathroom had no toilet paper holder, which was interesting.... Also, the water saving fixtures they are using are too good at their job - it was hard to get enough shower water to wash your hair effectively. The hot water circulator must not be working since it took a (timed) 93 seconds to get hot water at the sink. Once it came, it was hot. Breakfast was typical. On Saturday they could not keep up with the guest demand - eggs kept running out since they were omelets. I'd go back and give that HI another try, but not until they get renovations done.

Horrible experience with the hotel owners. They did not like that we had a 9 year old baseball team staying at their hotel. They said we were too loud and too many kids running around. We were banned from lobby area and were asked to stay in our rooms except for breakfast time. We were not the only ball team at the hotel. We have stayed all over the southeast and never had an issue with us being in the common areas. The boys are well behaved but they ARE 9 year old boys that laugh and carry on. Very disappointed in this hotel. We spent 10 days here and a TON of money on these rooms. Housekeeping, staff, and kitchen people were very nice.

Very disappointed. The hotel was fine but the owners and management were not accommodating. Our baseball team spent a lot of money to stay there for 10 days and they banned us from common areas making us either stay in our rooms or outside. They signed up to be a host hotel for the World Series so you would think they would’ve been glad to have us there. We have stayed at a lot of hotels and never been treated this way. Do not recommend if you have a group of people.

The hotel itself was fine but the staff was not very accommodating. We came with a baseball team for 10 days. They did not allow us to be in the common areas so we had to stay outside or in our rooms. They signed up to host teams for the World Series so you would think they would be glad to have us instead of treating us like we were a problem the entire time. We’ve stayed at a lot of hotels and never been treated like that.

I want to express the great service we received from Chris. He was very helpful and accommodating to our needs. There were a few issues (that he wasn’t able to help) and he worked hard to make it right. Overall it was a great experience having someone like Chris to understand and make it right. We would stay again.
