I’ve had the opportunity to stay at this hotel multiple times, and my experiences have been quite varied when it comes to the condition of the rooms. However, this time, I was pleased to find that our room was in excellent shape. It was very clean and well-maintained, which definitely enhanced our stay.

I also appreciated the new wristband room cards; they are a convenient touch. Additionally, the ability to text the front desk for assistance was a great feature, and their quick response time was impressive.

One area that could use improvement is the access to the water park and pool. They were ridiculously crowded and sold out during our visit. Since it was a rainy day, we couldn’t explore the other amenities the resort offers, which was a bit disappointing.

Despite these issues, I’m looking forward to trying the hotel again in the future to see how things go.

The room was good. Very clean, and spacious. There were plenty activities to keep the kids busy for a fun filled vacation. Which all cost! The downsides that lead to a 2 star review… The water park isn’t included in the “resort” stay. And it was rather expensive. We booked a Grand Villa and still had to pay $20 per person to enter the water park. The staff at the water park weren’t the friendliest. Everything will accrue an additional cost! The swim area doesn’t have lifeguards. There were spiders in our room. The check in prosess is a long.

The resort was decent having pool tables, a small movie theatre and a small game room. The pool was not heated and the chlorine smell was very strong. We only lasted about an hour in there before my eyes started to burn and tear. The water park was small and overcrowded. The lazy river was more like a crazy river with all the kids running, swimming and bumping into everyone. It was even too rowdy for my 8 and 6 year olds. The room itself was dirty and had an old run down look and smell but since it was for my daughter’s birthday we dealt with it. We had bugs coming out of the shower which freaked the kids out and again still dealt with it because they looked liked lady bugs. On the last day we found a dead bug under a pillow as we were making sure the kids didn’t leave anything behind. After googling we realized it was a bed bug. We took it to the front desk and Manager Karen said she would have maintenance check the room out and get back to me. Couldn’t offer any sort of compensation for the trouble since she wasn’t a bug expert and wasn’t sure what the bug was. I had to not only come home freaked out and scared about possibly bringing bed bugs into my home but had to inconveniently undress everyone one at a time before walking in getting into the shower before the next person could come in to do the same. Everything had to be washed and cleaned up outside before entering my home which took hours. It was such a awful experience and regret not reading reviews on this place before hand to avoid spending money and feeling so scared and nervous. By no means was I looking for a free stay but it would have been nice to be offered something back for all the trouble.

Located in the middle of nowhere, you will find nothing else around..not even a grocery store. Google was wrong, the grocery store nearby is out of business...ask the dive bar next door, They will laugh. The rooms look nice, but they are dirty. The toilets make random noises all the time, you can't use the ceiling fans because they make too much noise . The fake wooden chairs are basically falling apart. The pool was dirty & over chlorinated, the entire facility is a big maze, poorly planned. If you are planning to come here because of the waterpark, you will be let down. The line to get inside to the park was crazy and once inside, it's jammed packed..nuts to butts! Guaranteed over limits but they just want more people and money. Lines for junk food were absurd and of course no outside food or drinks permitted. Used bandaids seen all over the waterpark along with floating debris in both the waterpark and pool. This is the absolute worst waterpark we've ever been to! I hope this review changes someone's mind and goes elsewhere because our trip was awful! You've been warned! Don't listen then it's "I told you so". Never coming back!

I appreciate the resort hosting activities for the guests! We painted cups, bottles, and totes, we watched a movie, and they served popcorn for the family, we went swimming in March and played mini golf! All at the resort! This was convenient and fun! There is no help between 11pm to 7am. I think this needs to change for people like us who needed help between this time and traveled 15 hours to get there to be told. Sorry, you have to wait until morning. They handled the problem promptly, but something that could have easily been taken care of if someone was available after hours.

Everything was very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The beds were surprisingly comfortable. I did like that you could adjust the temperature in the room. Many hotels are now locking out thermostats to save money at the cost of guest comfort. This is not one of them. It was really like a home away from home.

This resort is kind of in the middle of nowhere but we chose it because of its distance from MO, IA and MI. The resort is a bit dated but thankfully the WIFI has been updated since we last visited. We enjoy walking in nature especially hiking nearby at Starved Rock, Matthiessen and Silver Springs parks. The complimentary mini-golf and sports rackets are an added feature. The rooms were clean but dated and worn. Also, hundreds of Asian Beetles could be found in the master bathroom and bedroom. Thankfully they don't bite, but annoying nonetheless.

A professional Santa that looks forward to time with family every year after Christmas. As o he resort, outside of being understaffed and over worked the facilities and trio were fantastic. Would have been nice of golf course was open as it was warm enough to play. Rooms were nice with everything needed and I actually enjoyed the remote nature of the facility. The little general store itself was worth stopping. Also enough things close by to enjoy. Would go back again given he opportunity. The price for the indoor water park too Mich so didn't take advantage of that bit did enjoy the large pool and other recreational programs. Wouldn't have taken much to give 5 stars bit overworked staff and having to wait as long as we did does make for a less memorable experience.
