So much of this place was just so wrong, but somehow we absolutely loved it. We specifically booked this hotel because we rented an electric car in Phoenix & believed this hotel to have a charging station. It does not. Similarly, I try to choose hotels that have pools, but this one does not. VERY FRUSTRATING, as both the 3rd-party booking site we used AND the hotel's own published information show both of these amenities. The hotel is very dated, & the need for cosmetic repairs & updates were apparent almost everywhere one looked. Also, the thin walls & the proximity to such a busy street meant an excess of ambient noise. Breakfast consisted of bagels, bread, prepackaged muffins, instant oatmeal, cold cereal, & yogurt; orange juice was available some mornings, but not all.||But, there was so much good here, we decided to overlook the other things, & I'm really glad we did. The lovely human at the front desk sensed my frustration about the lack of a charging station, & upgraded us to a kitchenette room. We didn't really want or need a kitchen, but since we were there for 6 nights, we really grew to appreciate having a big refrigerator & a kitchen fully stocked with utensils & appliances. I used the toaster & the microwave every single day, & it was nice to have real coffee cups instead of the paper/styrofoam ones that are typical of hotels. The room & the grounds were clean. Some of the other guests weren't particularly tidy, but all messes were gone by the next morning. The room itself was super-clean, even with its dated carpet & older furniture. Our room itself had two easy chairs and a desk, so we could spread out & feel comfortable. The shower was heavenly (great water pressure!) & they use refillable dispensers for body wash & shampoo. Most of the ambient noise could be cancelled out by running the fan on our in-room AC unit. the outside seating area was an extra bonus & we spent most evenings right outside our room door. We even met the new owners (or maybe only managers?) tending to the bougainvillea one evening. The location is great, with a grocery store & a couple of restaurants within a stone's throw. The bars & restaurants of the historic Main Street/downtown area is about a mile away. The Colorado River State Historic Park (Yuma Crossing Discovery Center) & access it I-8 are only about half mile away. We had a different housekeeper every day, & they were all just lovely. We requested not to have housekeeping service every day, but every morning they checked on our supply of clean towels & coffee, & emptied our trash cans. ||So, yes, this is definitely an older hotel, deep in the "budget" category, & yes, I was pissed that the advertised pool & charging station were not available, but our overall experience here was fabulous & the price was well worth the value we received.

Positive: Very good room price for this historic motel. It's been at this location forever. A combination of good price & decent place but not fancy. Negative: Walls are thin so a little noisy. Needs some remodeling which the new owners are doing.

We travel to Yuma so often for my husbands work and have stayed at so many of the hotels but none were as good as this one. The pictures on the website always made me think it was old and run down but it’s actually not at all.||||It’s not the ‘fanciest’ or anything like that, but it has everything you need, the rooms are big, the beds are really comfy and the air conditioning works really well.||||They have rooms with whole kitchens so you can cook proper meals while you stay there.||||We did have a few issues over the course of the years but they’ve always been handled really well by the staff there. ||||We always stay here now every time we are in Yuma. I highly recommend it.

Beware!!!!!!! No pool no hot tub. You'll be kept up by the people that live there. Sinks do not drain. No soap to shower with. Window panes taped in. Reserved multiple rooms and could not figure out how to split them. Over all not a good experience. But if you do decide to stay definitely go nextdoor to the Landing. Great place with great food.

Buyer beware! Location is in a high crime area. Prostitutes and tweekers hand around outside the rooms. Hotel has no amenities. It advertises a pool which is drained and has trash in it. It advertises a laundry room that is disgusting and all machines are broken. It advertises a fitness room that is closed. This is possibly the worst option in Yuma. If circumstances arise that you have to stay there then only pay one night at a time. This hotel will NOT honor refunds even in accordance with their own cancellation policy. Customer service is based out of India and will give you much run around. Front desk workers will tell you a refund is being processed and lead you on with false information just to get you out the door.

Checked in, desk attendant had difficulty finding our reservation initially. Finally found it when I handed her our printed copy. Let us know that the pool was under construction and none of the ice machines were working. In our room, found no remotes for the 2 tv's. Tried to call on phone in room, not connected. Used my cell, tried numbers listed on reservation, a book in room and on internet none of those were functioning. Went to lobby, let Nancy know that our nonsmoking room smelled like smoke and there were no remotes in room, also asked for working number for desk. Gave me spray to use for odor and 2 remotes. Found out only 1 had batteries. By morning, I had received 2 emails with different ID numbers telling me I was a "NO SHOW". Tried using the number Nancy provided last evening, NO ONE ANSWERED after many rings, it disconnected. Went to lobby again, new employee, assured me that I will only be charged once. I requested printed confirmation for both ID codes. She had difficulty printing anything out. Finally printed out something basic. Hoping I will not be receiving multiple charges. I believe there were people living in units permanently. Hanging outside of units. Gentleman on corner asked if we could give the woman with him a blanket, as hers had been stolen. We didn't feel very safe in the area and were concerned overnight for our rental car and personal items inside. Do yourself a favor and pick someplace else to stay.

I selected this motel because Fodor suggested it with a star and noted its historic nature. But whatever history it has is undermined by a run down lobby. It has some pros, including central location, free parking and WiFi, and low price. The room is just average. Reminds me of old motels from my childhood. Shower was good and bathroom reasonably updated. The negatives include thin walls (we heard coughing, speaking etc). It’s a busy road and you can hear road noise. The breakfast is a hard pass…count on going out to breakfast. Thankfully a decent restaurant is across the road for that.

Positive: Location was good. Negative: The hotel room was dirty. The shower drain was plugged so I contacted the front desk & they chose to assign me a different room, when I returned to the hotel they had assigned someone else my new room. They then assigned another room. It was also dirty.
