We stayed at this property several times over the years, most recently back in February. Interestingly the drive from Phoenix somehow always enhances the visit because of the beautiful scenery along the way. ||The hotel itself is in a spectacular setting and has undergone some renovations since our last stay. As a Hilton Diamond member we were lucky to receive an upgrade to a really nice room with a firepit which was great, but the enjoyment of this property is all it has to offer inside and out. The views of red rocks are incredible and the pool is wonderful day or night, and having breakfast outside was really nice.| |The hotel is in a great location and we had an amazing stay.

Disappointed â Not Worth the Price
I doubt Iâll stay here again. Our room was over $700 per night, and frankly, the experience didnât come close to matching the cost.
From the start, we werenât greeted upon arrivalâno assistance with luggage or parking. I had to find a cart myself and unload everything. While I donât mind being hands-on, at a resort or so-called âluxury hotel,â I expect a basic level of hospitality.
On top of the steep room rate, thereâs a $20 daily parking fee, despite the hotel having its own on-site lots. We stayed for five nights, so these charges quickly added up. Worse, a large portion of the lot was under construction, and signage was unclear. Many spots near the lobby were marked âDiamond Onlyââabout 20 spaces, with only 7-8 actually used. This made parking frustrating and unnecessarily complicated.
Once in the room, we were met with serious cleanliness issues. After unpacking, we noticed our feet were turning black just from walking on the floor. That prompted a closer look, and we realized the room hadnât been properly cleaned. We requested housekeeping and vacuuming multiple times, and to their credit, staff responded reasonably wellâbut at this price point, we shouldnât have had to ask.
The air filter was disgustingly caked in dust and dirt, which explained the congestion both my wife and I developed by day two. It clearly hadnât been changed in months. Once we complained, it was replaced, but again, this shouldâve been standard upkeep.
Lastly, a heads-up for anyone considering the "private fire bowl" upgradeâitâs not private at all.
In short, while the location is nice and some amenities are decent, the value is wildly out of sync with the pricing. We expected luxury and left disappointed

This hotel was 1000000/10 experience. Donât understand some of the recent reviews as everything we experienced at this hotel was amazing. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The view was incredible. Every person on staff from the front desk to the servers and bartenders were super friendly (Jason was an awesome bartender, and made our experience great.) The spa was great, with great yoga classes and a real gym. Sâmores were also a great offering. This will definitely be the hotel room come back to for future Sedona stays. Thank you!

I have been wanting to write this review for a year now. I actually stayed at this "resort" in May 2024. I was traveling with my husband, my dad, and my uncle (my dad's brother). This was a trip we took to celebrate my dad's 80th birthday. On our second day there, my husband, my uncle and myself went hiking while my dad stayed by the pool since he was getting ready to have a hip replacement and could not hike with us. We finished our hike and were about 3 minutes from the resort when my phone rang and it was my dad calling. When I answered it was a woman who was absolutely frantic. She was screaming something about drowning and i could hear absolute chaos going on in the background. We arrived and I ran into the pool area and saw my dad lying on the side of the pool with an EMT (who just arrived 1 minute before we did) doing CPR. I was obviously inconsolable. One of the ladies that called me told me to go hold his hand and talk to him, which I did. The EMT's worked on him for 45 minutes but he did not make it. Later I found out the ladies that worked on him were in the medical field. When they noticed my dad "floating" they screamed for help but not 1 staff member came forward. The two ladies called 911 AND pulled my dad out of the water and started CPR immediately all the while the staff members stood by and did NOTHING. Not once after this happened did any staff member come to check on us. I did get to know the ladies that tried to save my dad and found out that when they checked out early that they charged them an early cancellation fee and charged them for the margaritas they ordered while waiting to be released by the police. When we cancelled dad's room for the rest of the stay they were also going to charge us an early cancellation fee. I was absolutely traumatized and ended up in the ER that night. I think this resort not only needs an inside/outside makeover but they need to re-staff with people that actually have a heart and any semblance of compassion. Needless to say I will NEVER EVER stay there again.

The resort has a bit of secluded location about 20 mins drive from Sedona city. The location is very scenic. Rooms were clean and equipped. I believe the resort was understaffed for the spring break. We requested room cleaning around noon, but they refused because they expect us to request early morningâ strange! They have an on site laundry, but when we checked, they were out of detergent. Not okay for $500+ per night resort!!
There are kids swimming pools, they were not very busy, which is unusual, because itâs their supposed busiest season. Restaurants were very expensive for what they had to offer, and not surprisingly they were never very busy.
In summary, good resort, but overrated, even for a luxury traveler.

This property is absolutely stunning, and the room we stayed in was both elegant and comfortable. There's so much to experience hereâwe honestly wish we had booked a longer stay. From live music and stargazing to a full-service spa and a wide range of activities easily bookable right from the lobby, there's something for everyone. The pool area is thoughtfully designed with two separate, well-maintained poolsâone perfect for families and another ideal for couples seeking a more relaxing vibe.

Mike the manager wow and not a good wow. I found a dirty diaper in my suite and a diaper that was in shorts so clearly worn. After housekeeping went up and got it out of the room Mike said the diaper wasnât âthat dirtyâ I said for a $800 a night room you shouldnât find any garments, dirty or not no matter if itâs a diaper or an adults. He acted as if me complaining was the issue. He then went on to say how he had 6 kids and didnât understand what the issue was because I am a mother myself⌠well being a mother myself I never left dirty diapers lounging around because thatâs disgusting and unsanitary. I am really disappointed. The service wasnât great for the hotel I heard a woman swearing behind the desk because she couldnât get the back door behind the desk opened. Service was slow and expensive $32 for a side salad to give you an understanding (not being dramatic). The patio furniture is outdated. The shower doors are backwards entering away from the shower handle making it difficult to adjust the temp prior to getting in. The pergola wood at the top of the hotel /railings are rotting discolored. The pool has a metal waterfall that is also rusted⌠just not a well kept hotel.

I chose this Hilton because of their generous pet policy which did not disappoint. I was traveling with a cat. Many hotels that are "pet friendly" are really only "dog friendly". We were not put in a worn-out room set aside just for pets. It was enormous, had terrific views, the fireplace came in handy due to a random end-of-season storm, and I enjoyed the whirlpool. I would stay here again just for the pet policy in most circumstances.||There is minor construction going on near the front entrance. I found that those working there did there best to be sensitive to noise and movement. It did not affect my experience in the slightest.||I had booked a bit of a staycation here to use the fitness and spa facilities and had scheduled appointments across my stay. I appreciated the pool and fun areas for families while still having a separate lap pool and spa that were adults-only. The fitness and spa facilities were outstanding, very clean, the staff were friendly and went so far out of their way to be helpful. Unfortunately, I was unable to use them more than once.||The shower in my room had a fiberglass bottom with no anti-slip protection. On my first full day there, I slipped in the shower. I didn't break anything but did end up with some muscle strain and bruising. I reported the incident to the management and requested non-skid or anti-slip be installed in the shower as I had 2 days remaining of my stay. This was not provided. I was offered paramedic services which I declined. I was not seeking "freebies": I just wanted a non-slip surface in that very slippery shower. My spa services had to be cancelled (I'm not angry-just grateful I didn't break my neck) but I was not charged. I was unable to use the fitness center or amenities due to bruising, swelling, and broken skin. Because I could not participate in any of the activities I came for, I went home a night early. Money wasted but it was my choice. ||The restaurant was OK. I don't have kids but I would not call it family friendly. The menu was limited and expensive. Luckily, Sedona has no shortage of outstanding food options. The server on my first night was just a fantastic guy who had a smile you could see coming from across the dining room. He was polite and fun without being over the top. His name was Jonathan-I apologize if I didn't spell that right.||Overall, I would stay here again if basic safety features such as anti-slip devices were installed. I won't call my trip ruined but much of it was wasted and I'm sorry I didn't get to take advantage of the amenities offered by this resort due to my injuries. I'm also sorry management didn't take my request seriously and get that installed during my stay.
