We drove up to O’Fallon for a family funeral and booked a one night stay at this property. There is a Hampton Inn next door but I wanted to stay at HGI because breakfast is usually better than Hamptons. I truly regret this decision. ||The first room we were assigned was below 60 degrees. It was February and below 35 degrees outside so you can imagine how cold it felt. At first I thought nothing of this as it would warm up once we turned the heat on. However, the toilet was running and after using the restroom it wouldn’t flush or stop running. Truly unacceptable. I went to the front desk and they gave us the room next to it. Great - we did not have to move far. ||The second room had heat. The rooms are dated. The bed was so old and so overused that it sank in the middle. It was terribly uncomfortable. It was so sunken that you could see the dip in the mattress. The drain was slow in the tub/shower so we were ankle deep in water when we showered. The hot water was extremely difficult to regulate - while showering there would be blasts of cold water then scalding hot water. There were moldy spots all around and dirty areas. There was an unpatched hole in the wall behind mounted lotion bottle. ||Breakfast the next morning seemed like it would be great. I was wrong. I got a biscuit and sausage gravy from the serve yourself area. I sat down to eat it and it was cold. Not warm but so cold you would have thought it had just been taken it out of the fridge. The waitress apologized and said they forgot to light the stereo under the server pan. She took my meal off of our bill.||I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Staff is super nice though.

I have to say that I’m surprised to see the complaints here. ||I travel hundreds of days each year - have been a Hilton Gold or Diamond for a decade now. I had a great stay. |In fact, this hotel will be my “go to” when I come to turn (3-4 times each year) to teach. ||Really convenient location. My room was comfortable and quiet. Everything worked - both in my room and the small gym which was very much appreciated. Not just cardio equipment but some weights too. Plenty of parking. Pool. Friendly staff.

We unfortunately a house fire. We have been moving from hotel to hotel with no complaints AT ALL. I didn't want to stay here but everywhere else was booked that was pet friendly. We needed 3 rooms and noone else had 3. First off we were spread out on the 1st, 2nd, and 4th floor. We stayed for over a week because we didnt have anywhere else to go.I preferred the Hampton but they were booked. When we first got there we checked in and it was not a friendly environment AT ALL. The rooms are very dated and they a/c & heat did not work well. There was already dirt under the bathroom sink and there was a dirty towel in the room when we first got in the room. It does smell good from all the different chemicals they use when you first walk in the door. There was 1 staff person that was friendly and everyone else was snobby. We did see alot of whispering and head turning when we walked inWe never got any complaints for noise or anything. We left and went out of town on Friday April 4,2025 and didn't return until the following Sunday. My parents kept our dogs because it was just too much in a room. So comes Tuesday we get a message saying we were kicked out because it was 2 towels that were messed up. We were never rude or anything. We stayed the rest of the night because we had already paid for it. The next morning I checked out and spoke with the manager and asked for a receipt. He was very rude and said he would send it email. When I left the charged my card $150 for 2 towels being messed up. I talked to him and with no remorse and he stood on $150 for 2 towels. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I definitely regret EVER visiting this hotel. Never again. The most horrible and heartbreaking experience i have ever experienced from a Hilton. This was not Hilton service that I am used to. The breakfast is $13 and it's not very good at all. With a hotel as old as it is they should at least have breakfast.

While the hotel is in a decent area with good restaurants across the street, I found the rooms to be pretty standard with any other hotel. The staff was incredibly polite and always around when needed. However, wifi and breakfast are not included in the room cost. This is a pretty basic amenity that much lower quality hotels have so I found this to be quite disappointing, especially for a hotel as mediocre as this.

Called about a room for a room or two tonight. Asked if it would be possible to be on the first floor because of our two dogs and if any adjoining rooms would be available, if not maybe two rooms next to each other. I was placed on hold and then told that it would be too difficult to accommodate us so I was not offered any rooms. That is the worst customer service from Hilton I’ve ever received. So disappointed, especially because we just stayed at a Hilton Garden Inn in a different city last night and they were so wonderful.

This Hilton Garden Inn in O'Fallon, IL, unfortunately, did not meet expectations. While the public areas were clean and well-maintained, my room had several issues. The HVAC unit's thermostat malfunctioned, leaving me with either constant heat or cool air. The bed was uncomfortable, with a noticeable dip in the middle, and the fitted sheet was too small, constantly slipping off. Additionally, the bathroom faucet lacked an aerator, causing water to splash everywhere.||||Despite these drawbacks, the room was clean and organized, offering the standard amenities like a bed, spacious desk, and complimentary toiletries. The hotel's public areas were also well-kept. However, the negatives significantly impacted my stay.

Not impressed with this place. Not super clean. They're weird about their super basic breakfast. Both mornings accused us about not having tickets for breakfast when we did. Didn't apologize after accusing us for not having enough tickets when they had it wrong and the only issue was that THEY didn't write the room number down on it. Will stay somewhere else with better customer service.

This is one of the best hotels in the Metro East area on the Illinois side of the river. We stayed here many times and always a pleasant experience. They actually service the sleeping rooms every other day if you wish.
Very good lighting in the parking and maneuvering area.
