I get the feel they rent mostly to businesses that put their employees up for weeks or months and they forget about the people traveling, the individual by themselves or with a family that need a night or two. The young lady that checked us in was so nice. The breakfast isn’t the normal continental, you have to pay which I wasn’t aware of, but the rooms are nice, hard to get towels or anything else, kinda felt I was bothering the young lady at the front desk whenever I asked anything.

I’m going to give our recent stay a 4.5…The only reason I’m not going up to a 5 star is the rooms themselves need updating. They are still in the early 2000s with the room decor and colors. Everything thing else gets a solid 5! The staff were very helpful and friendly, the cleanliness is very good as well. Will definitely be returning on our future trips to Dothan.

I would rate it at 2.5 if half points were possible because it had good points, but overall it was disappointing. The name Hilton used to be synonymous with quality but not anymore. Most of the common area was nice. The room at first glance was nice enough but then… I noticed the door on the icemaker in the mini fridge was broken, then I noticed the dresser drawers had been left out, so I pushed them back in, but then they popped back out on their own. There was a narrow walkway between the wooden corner of the bed and the drawers that were out so I did bang my leg on the bed corner. In the bathroom, under the rim of the toilet was dirty, which made me realize that the bathroom had not been cleaned well so I end up cleaning the toilet seat myself. The shower was in need of updating as some of the corners looked a bit gross. And then I had to dry myself off with hand towels because there was no bath towel. Clearly there is no quality control at this hotel at a level that you would expect from a nice hotel. The gym was good.

Stayed last night while traveling from Florida to Oklahoma. Very nice and clean hotel, friendly restaurant staff and front desk. Room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Had breakfast in the morning, was very good. Will definitely stay again when passing through.

Rooms are spacious and clean. The AC in my room worked great and the fitness center has ample equipment to get a good workout in before dinner. My shower had great water pressure with plenty of hot water to get my day started. I was disappointed with their breakfast changes. They no longer offer fruit, cereal and other light options. The host stated all Hilton Garden Inn’s are implementing this policy. I hope she was wrong with her statement as this was one of the main reasons I stay at HGI.

We spent one night at the Hilton Garden Inn in Dothan, AL. The hotel was acceptable but that is the best I can say about it. It is clean and the staff was very accommodating. The hotel is in dire need of remodeling. Everything at the property shows wear and its age all the way from the lobby to the room. The hotel does not live up to the standards we have come to expect from the Hilton Garden Inn brand.|On our next visit to the Dothan area we will not stay at this property.

Stayed at HILTON Garden Inn @ Dothan, AL MAY 2025. The Stay was APPALLING.|1. Tried to put some items in the Freezer Section of Refrigerator and could not, the freezer section was unattached from the top and hanging down inside. Had to go to Front Desk and complain and Maintenance guy had to fix the freezer so it attached inside.|2. Wanted to get some Ice and noticed NO BAG. Again went to Front Desk and got an Ice Bag that the cleaning lady should have left in the room.|3. Go down the hall and get ice, back at room looked everywhere for the ice bucket lid, no lid anywhere. Go to front desk again and ask for lid, clerk says she will have to go to 2nd floor to get me a lid. She NEVER SHOWED UP WITH ANOTHER LID. So I had to keep ice bucket in refrigerator to keep from melting so fast.|4. Start to prep for coffee next morning, and nothing but Decaf & Tea. No regular coffee. Again, after many trips to front desk, ask for regular coffee packs.|5. When bathroom light is on, the fan that runs continuously has a LOUD racket-noise to it. No way to stop it. LOUD noise continuously when in bathroom, night & day.|6. The overhead light at the room entryway flickers constantly. It "flickers" & "quivers" continually when on and is VERY DISTRACTING when trying to watch TV.|Summary: OUR ROOM WAS SO DISGUSTINGLY BAD BAD BAD! There is no damn way a visitor should have to give up any $$$ to stay in a disgusting room with all these DEFICIENCIES. And, to have maid service so negligent in preparing a room for stay, and a clerk at front desk to lie to a customer and never show up or even call about the missing lid; all this just shows how poorly management and employees are at this Garden Inn location.

As soon as we entered the hotel, we were greeted with smiles at front desk ( Enilson) was exceptionally kind and very attentive to details. I will visit here again. Hotel was clean and quiet. I haven’t tried the breakfast but it looked good and fresh.
