Highlands Resort in Guerneville offers a peaceful retreat in the heart of nature, and I had the pleasure of spending two nights there. Surrounded by towering redwoods, the LGBTQ+-friendly resort provides a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. The cozy, well-maintained cabins have a rustic charm that fits perfectly with the serene surroundings. The outdoor pool area is definitely a highlight, perfect for lounging and soaking up the sun. The staff is incredibly kind and accommodating, making sure everyone feels right at home. It's an excellent choice for anyone seeking tranquility and natural beauty in Sonoma County.

The only drawback I found was that check-in isn't until 4:00 p.m.—I think it would be better if it were earlier.

Very nice rooms but lack a few things. You should survey and go to Safeway to pickup things like coffee and other things. The breakfast opens a 8:30 which is a bit late for us. No uwave in the room but it has a fridge and hot water maker.

Guerneville isn’t a fancy sort of town so don’t expect any over the top hotels. Highlands is the perfect balance of woodland charm and comfort. It almost feels like a B&B. The pool is delightful, the scenery is peaceful and beautiful and the service is excellent. We stayed in a Deluxe Studio and it was perfect. We had. Fridge, a sink, couch, coffee table, dining (cafe) table, bed and a nice bathroom. There was complimentary continental breakfast and the whole property was tranquil and felt like it was a woodland oasis.

We stayed here last year for my birthday and are heading up there next weekend to celebrate my birthday again. Last time we did Glamping and this year we are staying in a cabin. Extremely clean place, that’s what really stuck out to me. We really enjoyed the heated pool and the hang out area surrounded with redwoods. They have a beautiful bbq area for those that like to cook their own food. Although the owner has a great restaurant that we enjoyed on our last trip. We had the best time and I can’t wait for our upcoming trip.

We just had a great stay in the new glamping tent area. Pleasant experience all the way through. The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained with gardens throughout. The main restrooms were very clean. A light breakfast by the fire pit with yummy coffee was a great way to start the day. For a relaxing peaceful time when staying in Guerneville, I highly recommend it.

My husband and I recently spent three nights at this delightful place and couldn’t have been happier. The roomy cabin we stayed in (#10) was newly refurbished and charming, nestled in the woods. The gas fireplace kept the cabin cozy warm. The king bed was comfy and the shower was quite good. Cathy made sure that great hospitality was provided every step of the way. We’d love to return some day of our travels once again bring us to the glorious Sonoma coast. Highly recommend.
