The spot is a little picnic, fishing, 🎣or walking park, with a great view of the lake and migratory birds. There are no public bathrooms here, but there is another park in either direction just minutes away if you need one. It has several picnic tables and an extended wall type fishing pier consistently in use. We enjoyed a spontaneous picnic lunch Sunday afternoon and it wasn't crowded. Our little dog 🐕 enjoyed exploring the new smells and we were blessed to see the migratory 🪿 geese flying above the lake. There's a small rocky beach with some drifting wood and we found a few of the flakes from someone making stone tools possibly hundreds, if not thousands of years ago. It was fun to imagine the earliest community gathering here at this place.

I was walking through Clearlake fishing. I started at Redbud. Then hit this little park then went on to Austin. There is a little beach at this park that is full of obsidian. There are lots of benches tons of shade and never anybody there. They also have grills everywhere. Nice little park clean, safe and not crowded.

This is NOT it. If you would like to experience the effect global warming has on our ecosystem… then this is the place for you. I honestly believe maybe even a couple years ago this “park” was beautiful but now… being here just makes me want to cry for the planet and the abuse it’s been put through

I found it a bit sad honestly. All the grass is dead, the whole place is covered with thistle. Not a great place to walk a dog. Also, the trash cans haven't been serviced so there's garbage overflowing and scattered all over.

No grass, not good for dogs.
My dog got a thorn in his paw, luckily I was able to get it out.
Broken glass everywhere.

Plenty of open space with dog park and children's playgrounds nearby. Only thing was I couldn't find any pull-up or dip bars, but a gorgeous view of the lake. Don't pass it up, just stop, park, and breath in the fresh air. The pic I took is from the shoreline.
