The grounds are beautiful, and we enjoyed the restaurant, which was excellent. Check-in was a nightmare. We waited for over 45 minutes to then be put in the worst possible room on the grounds. They completely forgot we were trying to check in. Jackie was very rude. Luckily, Rose was excellent at the front desk and moved us to a much better room with the view that we had paid for and reserved. The first three nights were fantastic, but on the fourth day, there was a big wedding event. We were woke up at 6 am by the staff setting up all the tables, the event started at nine, and the music and person running the wedding were on a very loud mic. The event lasted until after 11 PM that night!! It was a very noisy, not relaxing day for us. The music was cranking so for the wedding party and wedding guests it was wonderful, I'm sure...but if you are staying above the ballroom, no regard for the guests staying in the hotel. We had a very early flight and were exhausted. This was not what we were expecting at a Marriott resort hotel. I will give a shout-out to the cleaning crew for the rooms, they did an outstanding job.

Amazing property with acute staff shortage during our stay. We live in the neighborhood, I love the property & hate to say anything negative, but our check-in experience was comical.

I checked in with their app & it told me to show my ID at the front desk for my digital key. Show up a few minutes after 4pm as instructed. 3 folks are working the desk. "Your room hasn't been cleaned yet." OK, no problem, we're going to dinner anyway. Can we get our key? "Your room hasn't been cleaned yet." Uh, yeah, we got that, but can we get our digital key for when we get back? "Your room hasn't been cleaned yet." Can we at least get a parking pass? "Your room hasn't been cleaned... oh, yeah, I can do that."

Return after 7pm. There's a line of unhappy folks into the hallway. 1 poor guy (Ty) working the desk. It's finally our turn: "Your room hasn't been cleaned yet." Um, and it's not going to happen tonight, is it? "No."

In the end, Ty took care of us & gave us a queen suite in the old house for the same price as a king room in the new buildings. The suite was gorgeous and it made for a perfect romantic anniversary stay. Too bad Hilton whiffed the check in.

I had high expectations for this hotel based on the reviews I’d seen, but unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing.

1. At check-in, I wasn’t informed that my room was a handicapped-accessible one. Additionally, no one offered assistance with my luggage or directions. My room (1116) was located outside on the other side of the property, and I ended up wandering around because the staff failed to mention a shortcut.

2. I wasn’t told whether breakfast was included with my stay.

3. There’s now a $20/day parking fee, and street parking is extremely limited—if available at all.

4. The bathroom design is poorly thought out. The oversized mirror hits the faucet, and I ended up scratching my finger twice.

5. The sink is large with no counter space, so I had to place the blow dryer in the sink while doing my hair. There is a desk, but it lacks a mirror, and the room lighting is extremely dim.

6. The closet is poorly designed—you have to angle the hangers sideways to close the doors. There's also inadequate lighting inside.

7. The closet space only accommodates short garments. There's nowhere to hang a dress, which was very inconvenient.

8. There’s no steamer—only an iron is provided.

9. The coffee machine is bizarrely placed inside a cabinet. You have to lift it out to use it, which feels like a safety hazard. If someone has mobility issues, it would be nearly impossible to operate it safely from that position.

10. On Saturday night, a very loud event took place, and we received no advance notice. The noise continued well past 11 PM, which was frustrating for anyone expecting a relaxing stay.

Awesome place! Nice place for my business trip cause it’s near a neighborhood and away from the city. Plus self-parking is available and daily parking is about half the price compared with the downtown hotels. ||Jackie, the front desk lady, was also able to add my daily food credits for three days that were missed. No questions asked. Love it!

I had an amazing stay here! Angle and Jackie were incredibly friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and welcoming. Everything exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend this hotel!

Positive: The pool was great. Streaming options on the rooms? TV?s have improved. Negative: All complaints are minor.1. Bathtub drain was slow.2. Shampoo supplied in bathroom did not distribute well into one?s hair when applied.3. Toilet paper roll holder did not function; had to leave roll on countertop.4. Room?s fridge wasn?t cold enough.

I liked this place, but I was charged twice for a room I paid for in advance.

I talked to the desk about this and they said it would come off and not to worry about it since it was just an “authorization”.

It didn’t come off, after a week post departure it fully charged me. I disputed the charge through Amex and after almost two months it finally was refunded.

I was already dissatisfied then, but another month or so has passed and they charged me again without my authorization. Terrible service.

I just attended a conference cited at the Hayes Mansion Hotel and really enjoyed my stay. I found the hotel fascinating and loved exploring it and learning about the history. They have so many unique rooms in the main building making it really fun to go exploring. They did a really nice speak easy ambiance game night for us. Staff was very courteous and professional. The French Onion soup in the Palm and Ember restaurant is to die for. My room was spacious, clean and quiet. The grounds were beautiful. Strongly recommend!
