The Hard Rock was great from start to end. Valet only for $65 for hotel guests, keep that in mind which is everywhere in Gas Lamp. Valet staff were awesome, respectful. Front desk staff were great and were brought down complimentary drinks for the wife’s birthday. I got the deluxe king balcony room and it was great. Overlooking gas lamp and the convention center was an awesome view. Kevin at the bar downstairs was great. Super nice, fun, relaxing. The hotel is non-smoking which is fantastic, the hotel smelled great not like a musty Vegas hotel. Definitely will stay at Hard Rock again

Hard Rock Hotels have a special place in my heart ever since I first stayed at their Atlantic City location. Back then, I moved from a terrible hotel to Hard Rock Casino, and the difference was like night and day—going from a poor experience to a full-on 5-star treatment.

Fast forward to my recent stay at the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego for my birthday, and once again, they delivered an unforgettable experience.

From the moment I checked in, everything was seamless. The process was quick and efficient, and I loved the modern technology they use to enhance the guest experience. Ordering room service was a breeze, and the attention to detail was incredible. The food arrived beautifully presented on a tray with a tablecloth and cover—just like in the movies where people enjoy luxurious breakfasts in bed.

But what truly made my stay magical was their thoughtfulness. I hadn’t informed them it was my birthday, yet in the evening, I was surprised with a bottle of champagne in an ice bucket, a heartfelt birthday card, and personal congratulations from the staff. It was such an unexpected and touching gesture that made my special day feel even more extraordinary.

Hard Rock Hotel San Diego offers not just luxury but a personal touch that transforms a stay into a cherished memory. Whether it’s for a celebration or just a getaway, this place knows how to make you feel like a VIP. Highly recommended!

Shout out to the outstanding service from Coy and Emma at the Hard Rock Hotel. They were incredibly friendly, going out of their way to make us feel welcome and cared for. The rooms and hotel itself are spotless and beautifully designed, with a modern, vibrant aesthetic that truly captures the Hard Rock vibe. Most importantly, the beds are extremely comfortable – perfect for a good night's sleep after a day of exploring. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting San Diego!

The hotel is very cool.

And extremely clean.

(Not only the rooms but the common areas as well).

The staff was great.

And our suite was super comfortable.

*** BTW: The weekends tend to get loud and a bit rowdy.

My daughter had her Sweet 16 birthday slumber party here. Everything was terrific, the rooms were nice and clean, the pool and cabanas were great. But the best thing was the staff. Everyone was incredibly helpful, especially the people at the front desk. In particular, Emma. She went above and beyond to get us in the correct rooms and checked us in 3 hours early so we could begin the birthday festivities right away. I had to go down to the front desk for a variety of reasons in the courese of the weekend and she couldn't have been more helpful and kind.||The kids hung out at the pool during the day and the bartender and cabana wait staff couldn't have been nicer. Accomodating their endless requests for French fries and Dr. Peppers.||Everyone from the valets to the cleaning staff was extremely nice!|We had a wonderful stay!

I stayed here a few weeks ago and the service and the rooms were amazing. The night before I left I realized I left my credit card in one of there bars by accident the night before I checked out in the hotel and when I checked out even the the bar was closed the staff was willing to check with showing my id for my credit card and my credit was there and normally I would freak out in a situation like this but this shows the outstanding service they have. Will stay here in a heartbeat if I come back to San Diego

I stayed at the Hard Rock for a bachelorette party and we all had a great time. We were able to request rooms next to each other and the staff were all helpful and friendly. We ended up renting a cabana for the pool party which was a lot of fun. They had plenty of options to make the bride feel VIP with the rooms and the pool party.

The location was perfect because most of the things we did during the trip were downtown and near the hotel.
