Twenty five extended family members were in town for my mother in law’s funeral service last week and decided to all stay at this hotel the night before so we could visit and reconnect. I called ahead and explained the situation to the staff and they were so accommodating, kind and helpful throughout the entire evening. They allowed us to use their breakfast space for pizza and dessert and it was just perfect. Our rooms were clean and comfortable and the kids had a great time in the pool. I highly recommend Hampton Inn & Suites in Alton. We had a great experience and appreciate their flexibility.

I stayed here for a business trip. The hotel was very clean, rooms were clean and staff was friendly. Beds were comfortable and rooms were quiet. I stayed on a Thursday night so I don't know how many people were there but I didn't hear anyone. Breakfast was good, make your own waffles, oatmeal, eggs, potatoes, sausage, pastries and fruit, a few other items. I like that I was texted when my room was ready and I had the option to pick my room and have a digital key with the app.

We visited the Hampton Inn in Alton during the IHSA Bowling Sectionals tournament. We weren’t greeted at check in nor was our HH status recognized which is fine but she was not happy to be there so we received no info about breakfast or where the elevators were. The room was fine but no TV remote so we had the use the Hilton app to use the TV. Breakfast was a dumpster fire. With such a large tournament taking place just down the street and multiple buses in the lot, you would think the staff would be ready but they seemed complete unaware that the hotel was filled the night before and had no hot food ready other than oatmeal. We ended up at Burger King next door. Overall this was an average Hilton property (and we are HGV owners) with subpar customer service.

Our reservation was messed up. I reserved a handicapped room with a walk in shower and did not receive it. I could not cancel without still having to pay for the night. I was not given any discount for the inconvenience. It was not safe for my mom. We will never stay at the Alton Hampton Inn and Suites again. There was no real attempt to help, just excuses. The rooms and location are nice, but not worth it.

Great place excepts night shift sleeps in the lobby. Everything else found as expected. Hotel is nice and staff is friendly. They seemed to be experienced. House keeping is good too. It's what one would expect from a hampton inn. Coffee us 24/7

Good location. Other factors, unfortunately, are not on par with other Hampton experiences I have had. The bed was comfortable, but the shower head clearly had mold growth, walls were cracked a bit in my room and the shower. There was also a large buildup of trash in the hallway trash can over several days, concerning. The system was down when I was trying to check in. And both elevators do make a rather concerning noise...

Business center doesn't really work. But the front desk will let you send them an email and they will print what you need.

Rooms are comfortable. Staff is really nice. Good location near stores and restaurants.

Rooms are in good shape, and bedsreasonably comfortable. They put out a good breakfast and the staff is friendly and helpful.
