Cute back porch area and the beer was great! Would come back for beer but not for the food. Had high hopes for the pizza and garlic knots from other reviews but it was a bit of a let down. The pizza was swimming in grease and the garlic knots looked better than they tasted - not very much flavor. Also surprised how small the italian sandwich was.

One of my favorite places to eat thin crust pizza in Chula Vista. They have lots of space and are dog friendly. They also have several beers on tap. Highly recommend to go on Tuesday’s because Pizza 50% off.

Bartender was very knowledgeable and an absolute homie (on 9/28/24).
Places has good vibes, not too crazy. Great selection of drinks. Good pretzel bites.

I was extremely disappointed w Groundswell. The pizza was greasy, overpriced, and simply not worth it. To make matters worse, the customer service was lacking. I witnessed the manager, Delaney (?), being rude and yelling (!) to the poor vendors, which made the atmosphere super uncomfortable for everyone. I lost my appetite after that. I will not be returning and can not support this brewery again.

Came for the beers, tried the pizza, and will come back for the pizza (and beer of course!) I think we got a Hawaiian like pizza, and it was SO good. Seriously.

Overall, great place to hang out and people watch along 3rd avenue!

Been here more than once, and no problem. Tonight was different, though. We were with friends, and we ordered garlic knots. Our friends were getting their order and we were still waiting for ours. I went in and told the girl we hadn't received our order she said "ok it should be coming out." A while goes by, and we still hadn't received our order, so I went in a second time and said we still haven't received our knots. She said "ok I will let them know." By this time, it's already an hour gone by and come to find out that they gave someone else our order. When my husband went to close out our tab, he mentioned the situation, and there was no customer service. There was no apology, or we'll take it off your tab. We won't be going back.

I always get the #2 beer and the sweet fire pizza. The service at this brewery is exceptional. They even let you taste the beer. The patio at the back is super nice and relaxing. Their pizzas are always fresh and delicious.
