Our 2025 New Year's Eve stay at Green Tree Inn of Elsah was truly one for the books! The quaint town and picturesque scenery immediately made us feel right at home the minute we arrived. Connie and Gary welcomed us with open arms, and to our delight, the day's sweet treat was already ready to enjoy. Our room was incredibly spacious and immaculately clean, adding to the comfort of our stay. The beautiful Christmas decor kept us in the holiday spirit as we continued to enjoy the night. ||Breakfast the next morning was absolutely amazing. We had the best time recapping our previous night while enjoying the delicious food provided. It was a fantastic experience that left us eager to return. We will definitely be back, and we plan to bring friends along next time! We simply cannot wait for our next stay at The Green Tree Inn!

Tucked out of the way this B&B was outstanding. Kudos to our gracious hosts, Connie and Gary. They provided us with everything we look for in a B&B. They truly meant it when they told us to make our selves at home. The breakfasts were well balanced and delicious. We even bought the cook book so we could continue the meals at home. Our room was perfect and the community area downstairs provided the perfect place to relax after a long day out and about. While you are there make time to go next door to check out the village museum. Do a drive by or better yet, drop in. You won't be disappointed. Can't wait until we can go back.

Clean rooms and comfy beds. Nice towels and bedding. Breakfast and treats are provided and are delicious. Hosts are very nice and have a wealth of information they can provide to you. Enjoyed our weekend so much. Common area with porches available.

I love coming to the Green Tree Inn, the owners are absolutely delightful and so engaged in the village of Elsah, it’s charming history, and prosperity. Ive enjoyed my stays there and Connie’s sweet treats with coffee, reading, walking around the village and most of all enjoying the serenity from the rat race. The owners are wonderful, hospitality is gracious and breakfast has always been filling (I’ve even had seconds - nobody leaves hungry! ). I will continue to return to this beautiful village and am grateful for the Green Tree Inn! Connie and Gary are wonderful hosts and I absolutely love the chats over breakfast in the morning!

We had the best experience. The town is cute and the Inn was straight out of a Hallmark movie. Very quiet and comfortable. The owners were very kind and friendly. You can really make yourself at home. The sweet treats and breakfast were so good! We have zero complaints.

Although just back from a tiring trip themselves, could not have asked for more hospitable and accommodating hosts. Room and bed were spotless and comfortable. Inn was quiet and food was plentiful and delicious! Hot and cold drinks and provided throughout the stay. Visit was enhanced by a program at the nearby Farley Music Hall and I would suggest checking there or Principia College for an easy evening activity. If you prefer not to venture out, cozy up by the fireplace to watch tv, listen to provided cds, or read and relax. Special dietary requests are considered. A ground level room is available if stairs are a concern.

We loved our stay at the Green Tree Inn. It was our first visit to the area and we are so glad this is where we stayed. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was very good. The home baked afternoon snack was a welcome treat as well. The common room was very quaint and cozy. Dining with other guests is always so nice. Connie and Gary were great!! They had suggestions of where to eat and some things to do. Gary took us over to the museum before we left and explained so much about the town to us. Who knew that Elsah was such a gem!! This was a wonderful find for us and is definitely on our recommend to others list.

we stayed here for our honeymoon and we love this place so much!!! not only are the rooms nice and clean but it’s such a beautiful and cozy environment. we loved the common area too. the breakfasts were amazing and we looked forward to it every morning. thank you connie and gary, you guys are awesome and we miss it already! such a special place and experience we will never forget!
