Bev and Charlie accommodated us on very short notice. They were so welcoming and helpful. The view from their home could easily be one of the best on the upper Mississippi. Bald Eagles were plentiful. They even have a little game room to keep the littles entertained. Thank you again for your hospitality 🦅❤️

We came across this place as we were looking for overnight accommodations and it was our lucky day! ||What a gorgeous home! Charlie and Beverly were great! Such nice people. In addition to our wonderful stay in this beautiful historic home, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit with Charlie and Beverly! ||The rooms are extremely homey and comfortable. So many places to relax and enjoy the views. From the backyard and sunroom - with awesome views of the Mighty Mississippi to the front porch with a view of the town and it's wonderful historic homes and mansions. ||Charlie recommended we drive through the cemetery, which we did. The views of the Mississippi are awesome! ||Next time we are passing through we'll plan on stopping here for sure. ||||||

We were one of the first to stay here when this B&B re-opened in 2018. Beverly and Charlie are wonderful hosts. We chatted over snacks and drinks in the South Parlor upon arriving. The overlook from the rear screened-in porch is fantastic. You are high above the Mississippi River- 200 feet! The morning coffee with that sunrise view is awesome. This is a historic home from the 1880's with beautifully restored woodwork and lots of antique furniture. We got a great night's sleep in the Cardinal Room and had a wonderful breakfast. Beverly likes to use local vendors for her menu- which I love. A great relaxing or romantic getaway in quaint Louisiana.

We were concerned about riding our bicycles across the old Champ Clark Bridge, and Charlie volunteered to come and pick us up. (The bridge is being replaced next month.) The view from Charlie and Bev's Great River Road B&B may be the best on the Mississippi River. This inviting historic home on the bluff has large guest rooms, off-street parking, a game room, and a three-season porch overlooking the river a few feet away. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. In addition, Bev and Charlie are warm, chatty, friendly, helpful, interesting people.

I was one of the first people to stay here after they opened Spring 2018. Beverly and Charlie are wonderful hosts and they live on the premises, so they can chat you up, tour the home or take care of anything you need. This is a fully restored historic home from the 1880's- lots of gorgeous woodwork and period furniture. There are also lovely updates in the bathrooms and kitchen. The best part of this home- the rear screened in porch. You can have a morning cup of coffee and watch the river wildlife from high atop the bluff. There is also a cool swinging bridge that moves when a barge cruises through. I'm told that the migrating eagles in the fall and winter are especially fun to watch. The beds: we stayed in the Cardinal Room, were very comfy. Lots of light with the many windows looking out over the river. There was a train that traveled through early in the morning, but the tracks are at the base of the bluff along the river -you can't see it, but you can hear it. I noticed it, but it didn't bother my sleep. The breakfast was delicious- and they source as much locally as they can- I appreciate that. The B&B is located in town, so you can walk to local restaurants and explore Louisiana. Put your walking shoes on- it is hilly since the B&B sits on top of a high bluff.

Warched the sun rise each morning from the comfort of my cozy bed. We sat on one of several porches each evening just relaxing. Beverly and Charlie are fairly new to the bed and breakfast scene, but they know how to make a visitor feel welcome. Beautiful historic home atop a bluff overlooking the Mississippi river. We will definitely come back to Great River Road Bed and Breakfast again!

My mother and I could not have been more pleased with our stay here. The home was beautiful and the view amazing. The hosts were warm and friendly and made our first bed and breakfast experience one we will fondly remember!

Beautiful view of the river from the room, from the deck, from the porch and from the yard. The house was amazing. Full of history and details. The owners were delightful. Very helpful. Very interesting and informed.
