The resort was top notch. Staff were excellent and very helpful. We stayed in a cabin and it was clean and well equipped. Rob Brown did an excellent job with helping us through our entire stay and was right there with helping answering any question we had. Excellent place to stay for entire family they even have a water park for the kids. Would definitely stay here again was one of the best resorts I have stayed at.

By far one of the best places we've visited in a long time, and that's saying something because we stayed at a 5 star resort just last summer. The staff was like family. Very friendly and informative. They tried their best to accommodate us with the right size cottage for the 4 of us and even offered to upscale us if needed at little to no extra cost, but we ended up loving the one we booked so much we stayed there instead. The coffee pot didn't work, but that's no problem, because everything else was so good, we totally forgot about it. There were activities for all ages and during the summer months there is a wonderful water park right in the center of the park. Getting around and locating your cabin may be a bit tricky. Just Google a map for the place and a good one will be available for download for free. I highly recommend this place for all style of campers, just be aware that getting around with a rig larger that 40 foot, may seem challenging at best, but with extreme caution it can be done. There are people everywhere in golf carts that are available for rent at a decent price daily, so be situation aware at all times.

We rented house #30 for the weekend. What a great place! The beds were super comfy and there were plenty of bathrooms. The back deck has a great view and plenty of seating for all 10 people! We never ran out of hot water and the kitchen was very well stocked! Highly recommend visiting here! The kids especially loved all the fun play areas and the activity center!

We absolutely love camping here! This is definitely our go to campground/home away from home. We have 4 grandchildren and there are tons of kid friendly activities and things to do for them all year round. The water park in the summer and a lot of Halloween and Christmas activities in the fall/winter! The RV sites are well maintained, clean, spacious and very level! Rob the GM for this specific location is absolutely wonderful. He is so friendly and willing to accommodate anything we might need. Nothing bad about this place, we really love Great Escapes in Alabama!

The location is great. The kids had a lot of fun, even though it was cold when we were there, and the pool was shut down .Everybody was very helpful and we look forward to going back in a few months to stay in one of the cabins. 👍

We loved our stay at Chestnut Bay! The house (The Splash Pad) was perfect for us, and my daughter loved the pools. Everything was nice and clean and comfortable. Leti, the office manager, was so sweet and went out of her way to make sure our stay was a good experience! The water park was fun, too. Overall, our experience was a 10 out of 10. We will definitely be returning for future vacations!

Chesnut Bay is an amazing little escape! We had a short weekend visit for a wedding but want to come back to enjoy everything the resort had to offer! Unit 45 The Maine House was perfect! 6 bedrooms, 2 living/hangout spaces, large open kitchen, several bathrooms, and incredible lake views. Self checkin and checkout was simple and smooth.
