Stayed here one night before an Alaska cruise out of Seward. Everything went smoothly from initial contact with Debbie to being greeted by Linda at the lodge, and great breakfast by Marissa. Location is great at just a half mile from the train and free Seward shuttle, and a mile to the cruise port. Taxis are available but we found it an easy walk. Room was very comfortable and there is a wonderful great room for relaxing. We would definitely stay here again!

Stay here when you can!! Everything was first class and clean-clean. the Lodge has a great Alaskan feel and the Decor was wonderful, almost as good as Debbie's food!!! A big plus was the boots of any size you needed to be on a fishing boat and cold storage for your food to take fishing-hiking.

We had a great stay at the Grande Alaska Lodge. This is a family owned and operated lodge. I first spoke with Debbie and she was a pleasure to work with in setting up our 4 night reservation. Once we arrived at the lodge Linda and Larry were the hosts. They were both very caring and attentive to requests and always went above and beyond to make you feel at home. We had the pleasure of Larry preparing a wide variety of breakfast items each morning. Larry does a fantastic job in the kitchen. You are offered the option of having dinner in the dining room for a nominal fee. We chose to have dinner at the lodge on a couple of our evenings there. Linda prepares dinner for you and she really is a gourmet cook. I had never eaten salmon prior to Linda cooking it for dinner. The salmon dinner Linda prepared was the best meal we ate during our 2 week Alaska vacation! We highly recommend you explore having the option of dining at the lodge and tasting Linda’s phenomenal cooking. The Grande Alaska Lodge was a very comfortable and convenient location for our stay.

We stayed at the lodge in July - stayed for 3 days ||During our stay we did a day of fishing - a day of hiking around Exit glacier and a day of wildlife cruise.||The lodge itself is outstanding - well cared for and great staff.||Larry and Linda both made the stay better than we hoped for. Great breakfast that is made for you if whether you are getting up early for fishing or staying late for a lazy day.||We were able to easily walk to the site for Kenai Wildlife cruise (10 min walk)||Dinner is available if you desire (for extra cost) and lunches as well to take for the day trips.||The coffee, the cookies and the conversation were all unexpected bonuses ||||Thank you again for a fun stay for our family.

After being treated so underhandedly by Van Gilder and Mariner hotels this lodge was recommended by another local establishment. What a great place to stay! They immediately got a room ready for me after my rooms at the former hotels were sold to a higher bidder despite having a prepaid reservation. The Grand Alaska resort is spotless and the staff are fabulous. The food is delicious and there are snacks and drinks available in the large welcoming room upon arrival.

Great small lodge residence. friendly staff. convenient and quiet location. Great for family. comfortable rooms. highly recommend especially if planning fishing trip in Seward Alaska. Breakfast daily was available. additional costs to have lunch or dinner which was convenient when planning long boating days. Good location to get around Seward as well. Cozy.

We had a great time at the lodge. Breakfast and dinner was awesome, love Linda’s and Larry’s cooking.we stayed in room #2, great view to the mountains, just a perfect scenery.We felt like home. Thank you so much.

The accommodations were outstanding and the food was unbelievable. The staff at the lodge and the boat crews at J-dock made every effort possible to ensure that each guest had not just a good experience but one that they would never forget. I would give 6 stars but the ratings stop at 5!
