Grand Pacific Palisades Resort - Carlsbad, California

We loved our stay at this hotel. Here's why:

Check-in: The staff were so kind during the process. It was a little different than other hotels because there are two hotels in the same lobby; the other is a Hilton. They provided a gift of 500 Hilton honors points for guests. I was shocked they didn't try to ask if we wanted to hear about a timeshare sales pitch, which I appreciated.

The room: We had a two bedroom apartment style room and it noticeably huge. We appreciated the mini kitchen, two bathrooms, and the living room. Totally good value for the cost.

The pool: We didn't get a chance to play in the splash pad, but we did swim in the heated pool and had a great time. We'll be back for the splash pad another day when it's warmer.

The hotel: It was super easy to walk around. The stairs between the floors and the garage were convenient if the one elevator is in use.

Check-out: Quick and easy!

We stayed at the Grand Pacific recently. It was a really nice resort with plenty to do for the kids. The only downside is check in and out times. Check in is at 5 and Check out is at 10. However, staff did call us at 3:30 to tell us the room was ready and that we could check in. They also called a few days before to check in on us and see what time we were planning to arrive which was a really nice touch. Rooms were spacious. We had a three bedroom. Also, you text what you need to staff. That was helpful. Housekeeping is only on Tuesday and Thursday. We stayed the weekend so I just text for towels and trash removal. Overall a nice stay.

My friends and I just spent a week at The Grand Pacific Palisades Resort and We had a great time. The room was spacious and well decorated and the landscaping and flowers around the resort were stunning. TheCarl Strauss Brewery had great beer and food as did the Lounge in the lobby of the hotel. The pools and hot tubs were great to come back to after sight seeing and by the way, there are plenty of things to do and see In Carlsbad and Oceanside. San Diego isn’t that far away and the staff gave us some great tips on things to see in Balboa Park. We will definitely be back.

This resort was perfect. We stayed in a one bedroom condo. It was well equipped, had a good size living room, complete with TV, sofa, chair, dining table for 4, and 2 barstools. The balcony had a couple of chairs and was nice size. The bed was comfortable. Service was great too. It’s close to so many things to do.

We booked two bedrooms through RCI. It was spacious, bright, clean with beautiful views. The flower field is just right in front of our balcony. Further westward there were windmill, palm trees and ocean. The full kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Great location, easy access to many local attractions or to San Diego. The resort provides daily activities. Check in and check out are smooth. No in unit laundry but they have laundry room with paid washers and dryers. Very relaxing and highly recommended for family reunion.

My family booked a Hilton Grand Vacation at this resort. Initially there was some confusion about the reservation. This cleared up and we entered the room. I had some further issues that needed to be resolved. Matt and, I believe his name is Verb, answered my questions. They were very ⁸byhospitable. My grandchildren adored the playground and the location is great. We had an ocean view room and thoroughly enjoyed our two bedroom room. Legoland was right next door to the property and the road to San Diego was easily accessed. It was a great vacation.

A beautiful resort, kid friendly with lots of activities for them but also quiet areas for singles or couples. Quiet pool, family pool, both heated and 3 hot tubs.
Just opposite the resort, there is Legoland and within walking distance, Carlsbad Premium Outlet Mall. Karl Strauss Brewing Co. restaurant on site.
Restaurant and bar in the lobby area of the hotel, gym, laundry available.
Not very accessible to public transport so having a car will be better

Clean, spacious rooms, updated and in great condition. Very comfy beds in each bedroom, bathrooms are clean n have everything U need ready.
Our porch was facing the legoland direction, so we had a great view of the fireworks on Saturday! Nice unexpected bonus🎉
Everyone in the staff is friendly. I only have great things to say, oh, n it's right off the main highway, up on a hill (beautiful panoramic view of the town), location is everything!
