This is such a lovely wedding venue! I photographed a Spring wedding here years back and I can't wait to come back. The bridal prep room is stunning. The grounds are beautiful with a wide variety of spots for photos. The sunset lighting is amazing. Highly recommend!

We couldn’t have found a more beautiful place to get married! Everything about the venue was easy to work with and convenient. The price was great and we felt we got so much value for our money’s worth! Everyone commented on it being one of the most beautiful weddings they had ever been to!

Our son Cody and his now wife Alyssa got married at Gover
9-17-22 and what an amazing venue it was. Adam and Brittany could not have provided a more beautiful setting and they both along with their staff was truly amazing. It was an epic wedding in a stunning venue. If we could give 10 stars we would. This place was so beautiful and we even got our flowers from Marshall's florist which were so elegant and beautiful as well. Thanks you two for a wedding of a life time and so many amazing memories for us all. We love Gover Ranch so much.

I contacted Gover the 1st week of June 2022 to find out if they had dates available in Fall 2022. They scheduled a phone call for two weeks later on Monday 20th at 11am. I asked for the date availability information via email in advance, and agreed to the call. They confirmed the call time and didn’t answer my question on date availability. They emailed me the morning of our call after 10am asking if I could call on Wednesday at 9:30am. After realizing there was a mix up, we did get to chat!

My date wasn’t available but she gave me one a week earlier. I was willing to take that date. We hung up with the plan of me calling back to schedule a tour. She was nice and helpful and said at the end of the call that now that I have the number I can call or text if I have any further questions.

I tried calling during business hours with no answer, then messaged the next day on her “Honeybook” platform that I’d love to tour on Monday (their preferred day) and let her know that I’d love to not push it to yet another week as we really needed to have our date nailed down ASAP. I got a message back on Wednesday through Honeybook asking if I can meet 5:30pm on Monday and then a paragraph saying:
“Also just wanted to acknowledge that I do try to keep all communication to this Honeybook portal over communication my phone, as you can imagine I am in contact with over 80 brides, their families and vendors, and to ensure all conversations are organized and available, this is the best way! We work on responding to messages in the order received, but as we are a venue, we are not always at the computer as we are tending to the property. We try to have responses be ASAP but response time is not always same day. Thank you so much for your understanding with this matter. =)”

I was confused as I knew she said I could call or text! But I went with it and apologized for the misunderstanding. I then explained 5:30-7:30 that day was the only time we can’t do, and offered to make ourselves available to come any other time that works for them that day. Didn’t get a message back til Sunday, the day before, saying they couldn’t meet any other time on Monday but they could meet at 4:30pm on Tuesday, but by the way the date I was hoping for was booked by a bride who’d toured a couple weeks ago and was no longer available (I was 3 weeks into trying to communicate with them, and had no clue another bride was considering the same date for the venue).

All this to say... It was a stressful and disappointing journey. My fiancé and I were stunned at the communication. We felt strung along as they just would not give us date availability via Honeybook, but would not want us to call or text either. The second I decided to let go of this place, Wedding planning went from being stressful to being fun again. Since then, I’ve contacted about 20 other venues. A few never responded but the rest were helpful and friendly from the get-go. None withheld date availability information for weeks or strung us along. Thankfully, after all this we got the perfect venue!!

I know many bride and grooms have had a good experience with Gover, and personally I have been to a couple of Weddings there and LOVED it as a guest! They seem like great people, but in my experience they maybe had lot on their plates and are still learning to navigate admin and communicate as a business. It's definitely not a great experience for me as a bride-to-be, completely new to Wedding Planning and with a shorter engagement period (4 months), to have been strung along so long. The venue is beautiful and a gorgeous place. But I happened to have a really unfortunate experience in customer service and trying to book it, and my feedback and suggestion would be to consider if hiring some extra administrative help would be helpful! Someone to manage emails and phone calls, book tours, etc.
