This place reminds me of a food truck. Not the big fancy food trucks we see these days, kinda small one that used to show up at the office complex during lunch time. Space is so tiny that their griddle is always kinda grease. Their portion was great. Steak quesadilla was very greasy but pretty good and big portions of steak and cheese! But shrimp was very overcooked for shrimp taco, fish did not taste fresh for fish taco... Adobada taco was pretty good, and taco salad was pretty okay also. So I want to go back their to try them again (burrito next time!). The lady was super nice and friendly.

My first time going here I was looking for a really good burrito and I drive past this place all the time and decided to finally stop and try it. There were several people in front of me in line but when it was my turn to order, the woman working was soo nice and made me feel like a regular. I ordered a chicken fajita burrito and added cheese and guacamole and it was like $11. It also came with free chips and salsa. They have amazing salsa!! I love the sour cream style salsa! I was amazed how fast my food came out, especially with all of those people in front of me! I didn't have to wait longer than 5 minutes. I got my food to go and ate at home. This is the best burrito I have had in as long as I can remember!! Not only is it massive, it's loaded with meat and they did not skimp on anything. Super fresh and amazing! Highly recommend!!! Thank you guys!!

It's a restaurant and run like a food truck. Salsa are prepackaged, and they are hot as "marked" - not ghost pepper hot; but it's Jalapeño hot. Food are descent and fresh. Super Burrito, fish tacos and super nachos are good options. It's a great place to get some food on the way to Tahoe.

Went in when they had street tacos and a drink for $9.05 per order. The carnitas and Pastor meat is well seasoned and slightly charred. Certainly not the best tacos I've had in Sacramento but it was really good. Appreciated that the salsas were prepared in the take out cups already. There is some seating both outside and inside.

Gilberto’s is a no frills small restaurant for a quick bite to eat. My experience has always been fast and friendly service with delicious carnitas tacos 🌮 the Guacamole 🥑 was just ok along with the chips.
Plenty of parking w/ reasonable priced Mexican food.

Hole in the walls almost always deliver. Super friendly staff. We ordered crispy chicken taco plate, crispy carnitas tacos, Jamaica and horchata, 2 burritos to go. Food came out quick and hot, full of flavor and chicken was moist. Drinks were good. Chips and salsa self serve. Salsas were nice and spicy, not tomato water. And instead of the to-go burritos sitting there getting cold while we ate, we had the option to have them cooked toward the end of our meal. Will definitely be back to try more things.
