I recently stayed at the Foothills Motel, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience! The rooms were spotless and well-maintained, with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, always making sure I had everything I needed. The location was peaceful and scenic, yet close to local attractions.

I was especially impressed by how well they balanced charm and practicality. It’s clear that the team takes great pride in their work. I would highly recommend the Foothills Motel to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable place to stay. I can’t wait to return!

This place was recommended by my brother who lives here and we were coming for a party. The staff is truly amazing and accommodating. We had changed the number of guests and they upgraded our room at no extra charge which was so nice. The rooms are clean and love the location and parking is in front of your room. I love the retro theme and how classic it all is. And you really can't beat the price. We will definitely be back! I love that there is a bowling alley and sports by near the motel and you get a discount if you stay at the motel.

Had great 2-night stay. Will definitely be back. Room was clean and well-appointed. Beds and pillows were A+. Property is interesting and great remodel a few years ago. Heard other guests checking out who I overheard very positive comments after 5 night stay. Manager and cleaning staff were pleasant, responsive.

We were stuck after Highway 80 closed on us last night and we had to scramble to find accommodations since we couldn't get to our destination of Palisades Tahoe.
The Foothills motel came up in our search and had space. The rooms were basic but clean and neat and looked freshly renovated. The place had a retro-charm with cool refrigerators and coffee machines and very large TVs. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating and the price was great.
We were able to walk to a choice of places to grab dinner.
While it may not be a destination resort, If you’re stuck in the Auburn area, this place is a gem.

Nicely remodeled 60s motel. Very clean room. Comfortable bed. Retro look Microwave, refrigerator Keurig coffee maker and even a retro beverage cooler. Everything looked new. I will stay there again next time I am in Auburn CA.

I can't think of anything we needed that they didn't have. And so delightful and fun! Retro eclectic furnishings...lots of thought put into it..super clean..service was excellent, professional and friendly.
We even had a large glass door to a little terrace with a view of the surrounding lights and mountains. Didnt intend to stay in Auburn but my husband became ill on our drive from Reno so stopped at the first motel...Oh my gosh, an accidental find! Will not stay in Sac again. Worth a little drive on into Sac for business in the morning. We will be back! Thank you for offering such a refreshing old fashioned clean cozy place to stay!

Fully remodeled 1950's era motel. The beds are so much better than Best Western Golden Key across the highway. I had insomnia at Golden Key, while here at Foothills I have nothing but dreams and sleep (Dream Hotel). The place feels timeless. It's right next to Foothills Bowling. The front office is very accommodating. TV works, has volume works and has CC. Restroom has a very cool moving door. Old school mini fridge. Bed stand lamps have a USB connection.

Charming!!! All the retro mid-century details are so fun!! Nespresso machines in the room - two thumbs up for good hotel coffee. Rooms are clean and bright. Right off the highway, so easy access. If you’re passing through the foothills, I recommend staying here!
